2024 BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe (220i M Sport) | Rs.43.90 LAKHS | ENTRY LEVEL BMW | NEW BMW 2-SERIES 

OK guys as an owner of the 2series msport pro (pro cz it has a class leading hud and peddle shifters) I would honestly suggest to stay away. It is a lot of money for very little car u get. Let's start with the good stuff 1) the looks are killer. Straight up inspired from the 8 series this car is the best looking car when compared to its competitors. 2) the hud is the most useful feature I have ever used. I might not be able to switch to any other car without thus hud. It is displayed on the windshield directly without any plastic crap on the steering column. 3) the brand value. If what others think of you matters to you then this is a huge factor. 4) the auto parking feature. Nothing new though. My 2012 passat had it as well but worth mentioning. 5) auto reverse is good and I use it regularly. The car will reverse 50 mtrs automatically from your last parking spot. Useful if you park your car daily in a fixed parking spot. 6) mileage!! Surprised?? Leme explain. If you are cruising on a highway at 90-100 in eco Pro mode the car will give u a minimum of 20km/l. It has a very clever Coasting feature. In the city I get 12 km/l. I have driven the car 11700 kms and the overall mileage is close to 14. And unfortunately this is where the good things end. Things I dnt like and makes me feel I have buyers remorse. 1) the sound system fukin sucks. It's just bad. 2) no heated seats. 3) no ventilated seats. 4) no ADAS. 5) no sensors on doors to unlock the car without pressing the unlock button on the key) even the Renault kiger has this feature lol. 6) the overall passenger space and boot space is less. It is a small car. 7) performance! Surprised??? When you put the car in msports mode and use the pedals.. The gearbox is such a let down. 8) the price.. This variant msports pro petrol costs 44.5 lacs ex showroom. 1lac insurance. 4.8 lacs rto 45k tds. 4 lacs for service and extended warranty. Even if you dnt take the warranty package the car costs 51.5 lacs on road Gurgaon. That's a lot of money for the car your are getting. 9) the ambient lighting is crap. 10) the ground clearance is really bad. 11) the tyres are even worse. You have to be very careful around potholes. I had to replace 2 tyres in the first month itself. 12) no cornering head lamps 13) no auto diming orvms 14)no shades for the rear passengers. 15) no connected mobile app features. 16) no 360 degree cam 17) no massaging seats. My recommendation If you are crazy for sedans go for the other German cars. The superb is far better. If the passat comes back to India go for the passat. Event the Octavia l&k is a better value proposition. Otherwise go for suvs. India is not ready yet for these cars.. No offense nitin sahab :p long way to go. In the suvs you can buy the kodiaq l&k or the mg gloster.. On separate note.. While writing this review the BYD seal has been launched. I do not blindly recommend it as I have no prior experience with the electric vehicle company. But it promises a lot of value.. Thx for reading guys. Cheers

I will be taking the delivery of 220d in November. The car has very nice and refined diesel engine. Power is also great. I drove the a4 its great as well and offers great ride but driving dynamics and looks of 2 series is next level.
