In the USA, you can order a standard seat, still great. Wipes out the poor ride issues .. plus I think the interior looks better. Overall a much better X2. As for the GLA comparison, I strongly beg to differ. Both the NEW X2 and X1 easily blow the Benz product out of the water. Much more refined and better execution all day long. JMO
A great mostly positive review. Thanks. My all-options red M35i hopefully will show up here in PA, USA, sometime in the Spring. Sure, like any car, there are compromises to be made, but at just over $60K, the X2 is a pretty good deal considering that the average car price in the USA is about $48K. And, coming off my X3 M lease, it's probably a more appropriate car for us older folks.
I have a 28i version X2 with all the other options sitting in Bremerhaven waiting for a transport ship slot. Should have it in California around mid-April. I wanted a lower roof because on my previous version X1 the roof is so high the sun visor doesn’t come down far enough. This one has just about the right height and it looks less SUVish than the X1. I would still prefer to have a station wagon like my old 328, but they are no longer exported to the US.
I live in PA USA and I 'ordered' a Vegas Red X2 M35i with every available package and option. A bit over 60K USD and what I thought, given all the hype, was a bargain. Shifted down a notch from my fully-equipped X3 M40i. Ordered early December 2023. No information available on its build and delivery status until early May, when my dealer informed me that the model (?), my configuration (?), any X2 (?), would NOT be provided to customers in the US. No information from BMW area or corporate reps as to the reason. I checked dealer inventories from Boston to LA and found only a few low-end "lot cars" - mainly non-Ms, two half-equipped Ms. Does anyone know what's going on? A flaw found at the last moment? Baltimore? Robots on strike? Well, if I order another Bimmer. it'll be a 2025 X3 M50, so I can go down to my home state and pick it up. No ocean to cross. Help.
Unlike the standard X1, no rear window wiper/washer, bumpier ride, no spare tire, poorer gas mileage, less room. Same lag/lurch from a stop. More money. A tiny bit faster, but so what?
I drove the sdrive20i 4 days ago as a test vehicle in a rather sporty way I'd say, no lag came to my attention in full on sport mode... That variant is mild hybrid, so maybe the electric motor helps with hiding the reaction time of the engine... However, the car was great fun... And i actually enjoyed it.😉😀
Disappointing in the performance for an over 300 hp. Don’t like the direction in interior styling bmw is going with this. Would buy a Honda type r over this
