One of the best videos on this X5! The M60i is quite a bit quieter than my M50i. The M50i sounded like a beast which really growled and burbled. Mine was just totaled and I'm picking up my new M60i tomorrow. I don't know if I'll change the exhaust. Turning radius is tight for a large vehicle thanks to rear wheel steering. The safety of this car is exceptional. Mine saved my life in a recent serious crash. Keep that in mind when car shopping :-)
Very torn between the x5m and the m60i I love the interior options on the full M and the exhaust note seems to be more throaty M60i certainly has a softer ride quality but I’m not too sure if I’d be willing to sacrifice the extra performance and interior options the full M come with! What’s your take on this guys? Let me hear your opinions
It's not, this one is tinted, baseball gloves are just aniline colored. I had a 2004 Volvo S60R that was just aniline colored, this is not as bright, as live, but similar, yes it is. It is a shame the BMW Cognac color is not availabe on the X5.
Does this have HomeLink buttons on the mirror? I only ask because I am cross-shopping the 2024 Cayenne and Porsche removed the HomeLInk buttons from the mirror to the infotainment screen. It's a major hassle!
You really need to hit the redline in your reviews. Just floor it and let the car kick down on its own. If you want to show people the sound of the engine, you need to rev it out. These are BMWs. They are made to be driven.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedOn top of the fact that you don’t want to abuse a new vehicle that is for sale, X5 M60i’s have an engine break-in period. I know it wasn’t mentioned in the video but the vehicle has a rev limiter until you break it in, mine said 390 miles off the lot with 7 miles to it. (If you look in the video, his RPMs have a grey bar at the top line around 4,500 RPM so he couldn’t redline it even if he wanted to or was told to in this case.)
@@datamined Even if it was broken in, still not my car to redline or rip on. I have my own vehicles for that. But yea, they do have a break in period before you can rip on it even more.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Oh sorry, I meant my reply to go to Steve, the owner of the comment. For sure, I respect that you wouldn't redline and rip a car that's not yours.
@@datamined Ahh, all good! You wouldn’t believe the amount of comments we get that say why we didn’t redline or do a 0-60! People want us to drive them like we stole it, crazy to see!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed How is it a nice look? It’s a massive slab that’s not integrated into the dash at all. Not to mention the glare! Nothing is as easy to use as clearly labeled physical buttons, too.
@@JRB41 it’s just as easy to use after you learn the system. But looks are subjective. I like the look a lot over the split style. Looks integrated to me..
Id 8.5 is easier to use the a/c controls and we use the voice commands for other things . No problems just a learning curve. I'm over 50 and figured it out in 4 weeks of part time driving
