Great video! I love how Chris stands back and lets you do your thing, however he's there if you need him. Most men can't stand back, they want to take control. You can tell he has mad respect for you.
Been suggesting that they appear in each others videos when they do them on the leased property and such…around the house and shop…I respect the idea that they each do their own thing…but plenty of times to be in each others videos….they do a good job of it at like TAC shoots when Kaitlyn goes so…😊
Have been excitedly waiting for this video! I won't make hunting season this year (new state and trying to learn how to use public land and all the new rules I'm not used to) but am taking all the notes and trying to learn things to do/try so hopefully I can get up a tree next year. Great video, very informative.
Just picked up a Utah elk tag first rifle I'm pretty pumped was lucky enough to kill a 5x5 with the bow in Colorado 2017👍 good luck on the hunt looking forward to the video
I am really excited for your elk hunt, Kaitlyn. I had a Mathews det at 70 lbs., when I elk hunted in Colorado. Bit much for me to pull. I shot quite a bit to build muscle memory. Also, I shot out to 70 yards, in practice, which is far for my liking. Got good groups. I did it, to make closer shots seem way easier! Doing that, helped me make a 25 yard shot on a 6x6 bull elk! Good luck on your elk hunt!!!
Cool vlog and nice bow build you did there. The one thing is that you are air drawing your bow that means you are pulling too much draw weight and you said that you were getting tired, and I also can tell that your having a hard time to hold your bow steady. Time to hit the gym and put on some muscle in order to be able to pull back 50lbs of draw weight because you will have a hard time hunting. Good luck on your upcoming hunt!!!
Im a bit of a nerd I Guess, but it would've been cool if you have of gone Over some of the specifications of the Lift vs your old Prima.. Weight, speeds etc.. Great video regardless!
Hey, that's the guy who wounded two water buffalo to death. It was found out later the other died of laughter after being poked in the shoulder by that weak ass arrow. Boy, oh boy, Australian hunters are pissed at that guy. 😂 Sweet color choice on the strings Kait.
Kaitlyn is that a UV button with a new color choice? Nice build through and through! I loved watching you and Chris working together on the TAC video. We need to see more collabs with you two!
Great video from the huntress….and yes it’s always awesome when Kaitlyn and Chris appear together on some videos…they do their own thing…but definitely times they should be on each other’s in my opinion….this is a Sa Weet video to watch Kaitlyn…well done…I can wait to see this bow in action 😊
It's not up to Chris. I actually had the slider last year but already had my bow sighted in with an hha so I didn't want to change anything before season
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors lol 😂 I was just joking I know you are your own person I was just joking sorry didn’t mean for it come off the wrong way but I think you guys will be or are a power couple keep it up 👍🏽
@KaitlinMausOutdoors do you like this bow better than the Prima? My wife is getting ready to upgrade from a jewel to either a Prima or a Lift. I’m wondering how the Lift compares to the Prima being that one was specifically made for women, and the other was just made with a draw weight low enough for women?
The audio on this video is pretty good. Maybe because I have a little hearing loss the music playing when you are talking is very distracting. I feel there is a time to add music to a video for added effect but it is not when you are describing something. I have been watching your videos for a long time. You wouldn’t add music when you are in the woods hunting because your viewers want to hear the sounds of the woods. Same thing in studio. We are not here for a concert. We simply want to hear your voice in clarity. Thank you for your love of hunting and the outdoors! I truly support and appreciate you sharing this with us.
I appreciate your feedback but we will have to agree to disagree. In the woods, there are lots of sounds happening at all times. Videos like this have a lot of silence if I'm not actually talking. The music is turned down when something important happens, but stays up when there would be silence. I can adjust it to be quieter in the future but I won't be taking it out entirely. It adds depth to the video
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors thanks for your prospective on video editing. However, I would compare it to an interesting class you are at and someone is talking during the presentation. I did notice the volume changes and it does help. If it was truly a live video and not a recorded video I think you would not have or needed the music. You are demonstrating work on building a bow. Fascinating stuff. The content brings the depth that has your followers returning. The brief silent periods are expected and not an issue. Thanks for your time.
Yea I could see it if there weren't a lot of pauses, but there are sections over a minute long with just silence so I personally prefer the sound. I'll take note of the volume though
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors I really appreciate you having this discussion with me! I really do enjoy your videos and you have a lot to offer people that are interested in the sport. Your content is quality stuff. You are a very successful hunter because you put the time and effort into every aspect of it. Including preparing for the hunt as you are doing in this video. Keep up the great work!
I may have missed it but could you tell us your draw length please. I’m looking to build this exact setup for my wife at the the same weight. Are you shooting Victory XV’s?
So this has been a big question I have with the lift what poundage are you pulling. I wanted a lift so bad this year but every now shop talked me out of it. Cause I’m like 46 lb draw . I know you said you were upping poundage to 50 lb. My question for somebody is what is the lowest that bow poundage can be shot at ? And Mathews can you please please make at least a 50 lb mod

Hey Kaitlyn awesome video!! But I was wondering if that is like a slower sight tape because I shoot a slower bow and the UV slider and I have been struggling getting a sight tape for my slower bow.
@@RidgeCrawford10look into a custom sight tape I used archers advantage which is just a website and you enter all your bow information to get your sight tape
@DanielE-gg7hs if you like it, you keep shooting it. Nothing wrong with that. Bow innovation is hard for any brand but I like this one more than my Prima for sure
It's crazy for the past years , mathews enthusiasts. The first thing they do is rip out the grip and put an after-market one that adds to the cost of their expensive bow! Why mathews don't change that? Don't like mathews because they are expensive, outdated with their mods you have to buy to change draw lenght and poundage. Anyway, I'm not hating here, but the grip! And don't think she will be using the uv arrows..not enough poundage to have the trifecta . Mathews lift, uv slider, and arrow! At least she's got the shirt! 💁♂️😉✌️👍🎯♥️🇨🇦
That nock is really tight on the center serving. That would not be acceptable to me. I like my nock freely sliding up and down, and spinning around on the center serving without it coming off.
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors Understood, but it still shouldn't be that tight, though. You'd be surprised how many FPS you lose because the nock is grabbing onto the serving longer than it needs to.
Hey katilyn I love your new bow set up I have been pulling 50 which is max on the prima and I had to get a custom sight tape for the UV slider. But seeing you pull 50 and being fine for the uv sight tapes I am now wondering if I did something wrong.
I wish you could buy the sight bars separate from the rest of the mount I changed to Mathews this year after getting the sight now I’m stuck with side mounting it unless I spend 500$ for a new mount when all I need is the bar
