They're coming to the Rave, Milwaukee in August, and I wouldn't go see this crap. This isn't Buckethead. This is garbage with this chick singer who can't sing.
Just got home from the Portland Me. show. BH never disappoints. Different look, different set list, band on stage with him, got to trade toys with him! It was awesome! Long live Buckethead...wooo!
I was at the higher ground show last night. The singer was flat and had bad tone for two songs then walked off. She returned to the stage later but there was no more singing. Seemed like she had issues with her in ear monitors but it was a really weird vibe and honestly not a good concert.
Same. She didn’t seem comfortable. She was dressed for a goth concert and her voice was flat as was her stage presence. Maybe he owes someone a favor? I’m a big fan of female singers and female bands but this poor kid needs some singing lessons. I felt bad for her the entire show.
I'm getting a bit worried that no one is advertising this show correctly. If this really heavily (or even primarily) involves new stuff working with this chick, absolutely none of the show ticket pages actually mention this at all. It's being sold like any other solo Buckethead tour. I'm not loving her voice, but I'm at least prepared for the possibility that this show will not be what I expected. I'm more concerned about the reaction of people who see he's touring but don't look deeper at fan channels to know what's up. They are going to find out all of this live in the moment and bad reactions could easily wreck the vibe. I'm not against him changing things up, even if it's not my favorite direction, it's much more like, hey, are people being honest about what the show even is, and will that disappoint anyone who shows up expecting a more classic Buckethead experience?
I don’t think Cyrille will sing the entire time. like what your comment said, they’re advertising it as a regular show. I remember seeing a commenter who asked Cyrille through social media, and they said she won’t be singing most of the time
I'm thinking the exact same thing. I'm guessing many will go with friends who talked them into it or watched RU-vid video's of Bucket's previous tours, Then they will be looking at each other going W.T.H. is this ? It's a pass for me untill I see a show on the tube here. But nothing will ever top Big B's last 2019 tour for me. It was literally my favorite and I even did the toy exchange with him. 🤖
@Klyde411 That makes me feel better. I'm not trying to hate on her, really. If Bucket likes her, I'm sure she's a cool person. Music is just so subjective.
Never seen Bucket with a singer. Should be interesting. Sounding pretty crunchy - liking it - looking forward to my Bday show in Eugene, Or on 6/7/24. I WILL HAVE BUCKETHEAD PRESENTS TO GIVE OUT TO ANYONE WHO ASKS. Come see me, I will be wearing something to advertise the fact that I am giving out free gifts (something like a KFC-ish Bucket on my head with "GET YER AUTISTIC BIRTHDAY PRESENT HERE¨ )
It's not my cup of tea and the reaction to the tour from what I've seen so far has been pretty brutal. But he seems to be enjoying himself and it's clearly what he wants to do, so all the power to him and anyone else involved with it.
Like other posters I am extremely apprehensive that Madeline Cyrille will throw off the entire show. More so than that I worry the crowd will turn against them and act like idiots. I wanna see bucket be the guitar god he is with a full band, but no singer.
fortunately they only have a few songs together, Buckethead doesn't do very long shows but there should be some classic BH thrown in there. First show is tomorrow so by the weekend there should be some clips on YT, lets see
@@erickane4839 Yup sadly I can't find out ahead of time. I am going to the show tomorrow and it's the first on this tour. I will give a full trip report. I expect the bits with Cyrille to be cringe.
@@erickane4839 here is my trip report. it is not just a "few" songs. it was easily half the show. Sadly Cryille turns buckethead into a garage band level performance. She misses her queue for when she is supposed to sing (you can hear the backing track, not her), forgets lyrics and sings most stuff flat/off key. They did some fun covers though. Her own lyrics are just need a lot of work. Max cringe was when she was like showing tarot cards.....we can't even see whats on them lady! I think she did OK as probably one of her first times performing at this level, but she needs to be in the bar band circuit first and pay her dues. Very green.
@@erickane4839unfortunately they also play covers. They tried to make it less agonizing by having her sprinkled in throughout the show instead of an hour straight but it was still bad and ruined the experience for me. No giving out toys or having audience play Killswitch. Just didn't really feel like a Buckethead show honestly
Wish I would have known sooner. Probably wont make it this year once again. Only resale tickets available for (as of right now) $114 for the May 19th show (my birthday). They're usually 25-35 at the door. I wont go by myself it would be 228. Ticket scalpers deserve capital punishment. Probably sounds like a really dick thing to say but if she's performing the entire time with him I wont feel as bad missing the tour once again
Chicago and Milwaukee get hosed by so many musical artists. the areas are ultra high crime and is likely why they avoid those two cities. they could try Waukegan or Kenosha if they want to avoid Chi-Town and M city
@@jcrollah81 it’s funny because they just read headlines or make assumptions like you’re doing right now. Talk to people who actually live in these cities like me and they’ll tell you about “real crime” happening and it’s not what people make it out to be
@@JamesJones-i2v that is the explanation lol misconceptions. Can’t really blame them for here-say but there’s tons of fans here in Chicago that want buckethead back and we will fight to make a better name for our city
Durs certains commentaires. Bref , Vaz je me sauve . There are already quite a few (you've seen all these dates), don't complain! Afterwards I can understand that it is a question of taste, but in reality there are ways of saying things! Tsss Idolatry or not, I would have gone there. That Cyrille is there, I would take that as an asset! Brief, Come on, I'm running away. No animosity, it's not necessary' Neither here, nor during the performances (film in 1, just 1 please) & ☮️ Thanks Natter for sharing and once again, tear it all ⚡️
Hmmm Buckethead and Cyrille tour or The Aristocrats? Give me the Aristocrats, the actual musicians. Also Guthrie live absolutely blows away bh live lol This new "music" is just straight up garbage with her idiotic lyrics. Bucket found his yoko 😂
I love Bucket and the shows I've seen over the years have been so incredible and moving, but this tour with the singer....geez horrible. Was at the Philly show and I almost cut out early. Never in a million years would I have done that. Hate to be harsh but sh*t sucks. Even the drummer and bass player are amateurs compared to Bucket. Bucket been wearing that KFC thing for too long and messed his head up.
I was there in Philly at the Sunday night show. 1st timer. She did not sound good. They actually did a cover of Jessie's Girl. AwMaLawd. I was glad to see BH live. I didn't think it would ever happen. So I am thankful.
@@jondepaul2372 Thats awesome to finally see Bucket, but dang. You haven't seen him in his prime...a real deal show...what you saw was a bad shadow of himself with subpar players and a terrible singer....may have well gone back to GNR.
@@christopherm.6991I just got into Buckethead last month, wish I knew about him sooner cause I would’ve gone to the Philly show. How often does his play Philly?
