As a GM and Cadillac guy I can honestly say no. Not until they give it the escalade interior, then it'll be worthy of the Cadillac title. As it stands I'd get the Lincoln over this. This is basically a Buick inside.
I really wish that Cadillac would've dropped the 3.6TT from the XTS V-Sport, which was specifically designed for FWD applications. It made 410hp, which would've been more acceptable than this engine that is plucked straight from a Traverse. The interior is OK, but @ $81K, save yourself $30K and buy the Acadia Denali instead.
Simple is luxury, 33” screen is for people who buy a Louis Vuitton bag with a huge logo because they need to hide their insecurities. I do agree with you on the 3.6 tt engine though, for a luxury suv Who, it could use a bit more power.
In 2023 I had decided that I wanted to buy an XT6, but I wanted to wait for the 2024s to come out to see if they would change the dash and interior. No such luck. The dash is the same outdated dash that most Cadi's have been equipped with for the past decade. I was wanting a dash like the Escalades have. Not to mention, interior color options are important to me, and Cadillac has cheapened up on their options. They show too much black on black, which I don't like. I live in southeast Texas where it's been 100°+ since June 11th, so the black on black is not a good option, unless you want your vehicle being an average of 14° hotter when getting in. And $80k for an outdated vehicle...no thanks. I ended up purchasing a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 with all the bells and whistles, the exact interior/exterior color scheme I wanted. It's a beautiful car, and a wonderful ride. The only thing it's missing is the third row - you need the GLS for that - but that is not a necessity for me, I just wanted it for buying new plants...lol. Overall, I think Cadillac has been making poor choices when it comes to the American market. Their prices have nearly doubled, and the amount of options have decreased Meanwhile, they're providing all the cool, up-to-date technology to the Chinese market.
It has been announced that the 2025 CT5 will be getting that new curved screen dash and a refresh. The XT6 desperately needs it too. It needs to happen sooner rather than later.
The vehicle has the Onyx package and all the blacked out badging on the rear......BUT the dealer had to put their white letter badging on, too. I'd definitely be removing that.
@@ICEMAN3515 I think the Aviator is beautiful but it’s riddled with a lot problems unfortunately. My neighbor has one and it’s more at the dealer than it is in his driveway.
@@robertearlecoppola2991 but Lexus and Toyota don’t produce better vehicles than the competition Plus Toyota quality reliability is a thing of the past now
I have the 2022 XT6 and I can honestly say it hasn't changed Abit. For all we know this is probably the same CT6 and GM just changed it to 2024. Probably unsold units
Comfy cruiser , we just had it as a rental is SLC from Hertz and it did fine over 3000miles , definitely not a performance and handling like new CX90 or even CX-9 ...it had few issues with design and ergonomics but overall a nice vehicle , but never worth more than 50K in my book, also 235 width tires are much too narrow , CX-9 had 255 and CX90 275 respectively... This CT6 would do good with inline6 turbo 😉
Re: Brembo brakes. Although I’m sure it does not really need them, a 310 hp naturally aspirated V6 is no slouch. Sure does add to the appearance with red callipers. It needs the new 33” curved screen like the XT4, Escalade, Lyric. That’s what is keeping me from trading in my CTS with 335 hp for it.
I have a 2022 Sorento sx and all the windows are automatic..but I glad you made this point...I was looking to purchase one. I need a similar SUV just like the Sorento hidden rear wiper same tech moonroof etc
Nice SUV but for 80k from caddy you re better off with Lexus/Toyota/Acura at least they ll be worth more @resale. The 3.6 isn t the best motor it is known for bad head gaskets.
I wanted this to be my next vehicle but so disappointed with the interior. It’s the same interior they’ve had over 10 years! An entire decade! It’s the same interior I had in my 2014 SRX. Yet the entry level tiny XT4 has a new interior like the Escalade. Ridiculous
I’m not someone who constantly complains about pricing (just happily bought a 2024 Silverado high country 2500)…. However, I feel like all of the luxury crossovers are overpriced for what you get / quality of materials. You can get a nice full-sized Tahoe / suburban for just a hair over the price of this Cadillac. Even the Porsche Macon is overpriced imo…. Obviously it’s a Porsche but for $80K, like the one he reviewed, the material quality should be much nicer
Lincoln aviator Is more advanced than this plus much nicer and more advanced performance 2 options regular or thr hybrid with 494 horsepower with almost 500 hp that's more than the average luxury in the market most don't even offer that only few do
Those gauges were inexusable four years ago, and they're even more inexcusable today! Cadillac should have updated the XT6's interior like, yesterday. The same updates that the Escalade received should have then gone to the XT6 rather than the XT4. It's crazy to expect a customer to pay more for a vehicle that has a far inferior design than your entry-level product. Habitual bad judgement of GM!
Originally I said this is a mediocre choice That is until the Lexus TX came out… The xt6 absolutely slaughters the RX and TX in every way So now the xt6 ranks higher than both these Lexus crossovers
@@100history-j1w no it’s worse than the tx. The tx is a 3 row fwd crossover like the xt6 But the xt6 looks way better outsides more luxurious inside, nicer materials, super cruise, it’s significantly faster than the tx350 as fast as the tx500h performance 😂 and faster than the 550h. Plus getting a v6 in the tx will be significantly more expensive than the xt6,
@@naveenthemachine but the xt6 has less space and the tax doesn’t compete with the xt6 it competes with cars like the x7 for a reason and you haven’t been in a gh let alone a tx sp stop talking so much smack and go on a gh and then talk
$81k for THAT?! 😂 Cadillac had the opportunity to slot into the segment with a winner if they created a “Baby Escalade”, but instead they missed the opportunity by essentially rebadged a Chevy Traverse imo. Honestly, as long as the Aviator exists, the XT6 could never be a winner. Another swing and a miss add to General Motors’ pile.

@@issavibez394that I agree I was referring to a worse luxury suv than the xt6. That’s the Lexus RX and upcoming Lexus TX. Those two are the worst luxury SUVs you can buy in the class. The xt6 is far superior to both of them in every aspect

isnt it the same engine they plop in the buicks, GM, etc, etc, etc..they have the outdated interior. the engine is not a cadillac stand alone , there not serious about being lux just lipstick on a pig
This doesn't stand a chance against a Mazda CX-90. How much of a badge snob / fanboy does someone have to be to think that the XT6 is better than a CX-90... XT6 = Cheap transverse mainstream brand platform, weak engines with MUCH less torque, no hybrid available, poor fuel economy in all versions, parts bin interior, worse long term quality,...
