I had no prior riding experience with driving a motorcycle on the road before today. Here I am picking up my Spyder and driving it to a restaurant to meet some friends of mine.
I have the same bike but mine was gray before I got it wrapped purple. Absolutely love love my Spyder RTL. Apple car play works now too so navigation is a breeze. Very relaxing, sometimes you will just need to ride! Welcome!
Welcome to the Spyder community. Hope you are enjoying your new ride, like we do we have a 2022 RTL chrome model in Marsala metallic red . With lots of upgrades on it. Ride safe, regards Stephen Alberta Canada.
Thanks SpyderMin! I’ve been watching your videos and they have inspired me. I want to go to all the places you’ve been and they’re not very far from CT 😊 this seems like the most expensive hobby I ever had but it’s worth it
@@vagabondmel Wow! I’m so happy I have helped you, and thanks for watching! Lots of great riding in New England. I visit often. (Originally from RI, also lived in Eastern Connecticut before I moved to Niagara Falls.) Just make sure you’re careful, and take a motorcycle safety course if you haven’t already.
Congrats on the new bike. I’ve always been impressed by the Can-Am Spyder. Any surprises on how it handles on your first ride? That seems crazy that you had to go to Canada for your Black Belt test. Maybe one day.
It was the Chuck Norris style of Karate, called Chun Kuk Do. So far I hadn't run into any problems. I take my turns at very low speed and haven't really tested out the full scope in how it handles. I'm curious if I'll feel safe going over 40 MPH on windy back roads. There's a small sense that I'll fly off the thing if I don't lean into the turns. Thanks for popping by!
