It's time!!
Hi friends! I know it's early, but early bird gets the worm and your future self with thank you if you start getting prepped for Christmas decorating!
Do you like to get a head start too?
When do you start decorating for Christmas?
I start early November so now is the time I start planning and getting my new decor that I want to get for this year so I'm ready to go once the hustle and bustle of the holiday season comes so I can start decorating and not be running around trying to find what I want!
Today I thought it would be fun to show you the new decor I've picked up this year so if you like it too you can grab it while its still available and you don't have to wait and you'll have it when you want to start decorating too!

i am a bloke and I am the Christmas one in the house here in Scotland, I am in the planning and preperation phase, making, buying etc. My wife love that I do it and create it, the first weekend in December, its mulled wine, tunes and mince pues whilst she is out at work and it all comes togerther before she gets home that day, it is exciting for me from October, we do not do halloween at all...

I used to always decorate the first week of November, but now that I’m older I decided to slow down, live n the moment and enjoy each holiday as it comes so now I decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.

I always wait until after Thanksgiving because I wanted my kids to remember what they thankful for, before they got the Gimmies!! I am a Christmas freak, but i discipline myself! I try to give myself 2 months for each season/holiday. September and October are fall/halloween and November and December are Christmas. Thanksgiving was always my mom’s favorite so we always celebrate at home with Christmas decor up!

Just last year I started decorating mid-November and I LOVED it. I get to enjoy Xmas for a couple extra weeks. And no one cares that we’re eating turkey for Thanksgiving and looking at Christmas decorations 😊 Also Jenn, I got the small gingerbread house plate at Hobby Lobby, and I’m going to use it as a spoon rest on my stove

I transition from Halloween to Fall Harvest to Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving the tree goes up as well as the garland. Then Dec 1 the decorations go all out! Been this way for over 40 years.❤

I start to decorate for Fall on August 31st. I keep my Fall decor up until October 31st., & then I put up my Christmas decor. Our kids are grown now & they have gotten used to the fact of having our Christmas tree up at Thanksgiving! 😊 In our area here in Texas, you have to purchase Christmas decor when they are first putting it out in the stores especially at Hobby Lobby. The merchandise goes quick! I had an associate at Hobby Lobby tell me last year while I was shopping in the store, “ if you see it & want it, you better buy it because odds are it won’t be here when you come back .“ 😂 She was right. Loved the haul & can’t wait to watch you transform your beautiful home for the Christmas holidays! Love you & love your channel. Much ❤& big hugs from Texas!!!

I love all, but the Santa, the cocoa sign, the gingerbread things, and the quilted tree ornament at the end were my faves. When we decorate is determined by where we are for Christmas. If we travel, I decorate earlier so we can enjoy it at home. Thank you for sharing your new treasures!

I’m all about plaid for Christmas too!! In past years I’ve decorated after thanksgiving, but last year i started mid-November and LOVED the head start. Made the holidays so much less stressful

You have purchased adorable Christmas pieces. The tartan is always a pretty choice. I will probably begin decorating for Christmas after Veterans' Day. We leave for Florida the week after Christmas… (not this year). I still love to decorate, but I take 90% of it down before we go. We wrap the tree and take it down in the spring. Because of this I start to decorate after Halloween. We’re home and safe. Any item can be replaced. Praying for our friends and neighbors…

Wow ~ what a great Christmas haul!!! SO many wonderful new things, your house is gonna look amazing! Those McKenzie tartan pieces are fabulous (I know how impressively big those pots are ... Hi Mother Thyme I don’t like rushing the seasons and holidays., but fall was taking too long for me. I am behind in decorating because I half broken my arm this past summer. I would layer that quilt on top of the comforter. I typically start after Thanksgiving. But if you look at the calendar this year, I think I will be starting a little earlier. Not with Santas but stems and garland.

😂 I'm with you... I start planning early. I decorate the dining room for Thanksgiving, but my Christmas Trees are up on Thanksgiving day... so when the family comes we can do family pictures. I normally decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving Weekend. But this year I'd like to do mine on 1 of November like the stores do. Traditionally all retail stores do change over from fall to Christmas. I'm so done with Halloween decorating. I love the decor of Fall. But am so ready for Christmas. I don't start until first of December and I put the lights out on the fences and the tree does not go up until just before Christmas day My son will get a fresh tree. If you get it to early it will brown off. I have tried putting plastic trees outside but they melt. Great video

I always start outside - it's easier to put up before it snows, then I move to the sunporch and the rest of the house. I'm currently working on a deep clean throughout in preperation.

Usually I start a week before Thanksgiving but this year, we are going on a family vacation around Thanksgiving into early December so I’ve decided I want to come home in December already with Xmas decors up!😊and with my sons bday in November too much going on. I love decorating for Christmas. I start in early November but, my tree doesn’t go up until the week of Thanksgiving. One of my favorite pieces are the gingerbread snowflake plates. I searched all over my Hobby Lobby today with no luck. The only thing I could find was the gingerbread house. Going to a different store tomorrow.

Now I realise to get that professional cohesive look, you need to have a theme and buy asap as soon as you saw them. Also good to plan ahead for the next year to buy if get a chance that fit your theme.
