I thought of a DS7 when i was looking for a new car last year as they are beautifully finished inside. I particularly liked the quilted leather dash which matched the seats something i noticed that model hadn't got. The last model also had dancing headlights on switch on which i believe have been dropped also. Another great review Tish and i don't think you have to worry about the lady at the end taking over your job.😆
Very nice car, nice to see something different. We also have to remember this is a model from early in their stand alone journey. The 4 is incredible and the new coupe SUV out testing will be interesting
Wanted a good mpg suv and didnt want to be stung an extra 350 smackers a year for next 4 of 5 yrs OF luxury post 40,000 expense so took a diesal performance plus out for test drive in a nice grey colour , cost 38 grand plus. Only 2 things i liked was you feel your in a nice place up front and its quite good looking at the front . With black only headlining AS IT WAS A NORMAL GLOOMY GREY DAY made it very dark , even worse for rear passengers. No active suspension so it didnt soak up bumps or even small rough surfaces , No electric tailgate , no glass on roof to lighten the gloom , no nice clock on dash , but the worse feature or problem for me was the steering wheel .it reminded me of my grankids toy one it has no feel to it , maybe someone whos had most of their fingers blown off could maybe appreciate the looseness of it plus being a deisal you could feel a tremour through the steering wheel and sometimes through my drivers seat when idling . SO all in all NO THANKS PS really really cheap-looking dark wheels they have matched up with the performance plus models.
Happy new year Tish. I'm still not sure about the AI bit given that the established Siri and Google can offer things that I would have an interest in. I do like the DS line but as you mention prices have risen quite a lot so I guess if and when I change my car I'd probably add it to my test drive list considering my budget. Many thanks for sharing.
Hi, good looking car the DS7 to me it looks more of a German designed car than a French car, the Front looks like a Seat and the rear looks like an Audi with the tail lights on the tail gate and also fitted to the bumper, shame the is no standard petrol option. As always a great and honest review ,catch you next time, Take care👍
I am currently on my 4th DS7 since 2017. Quality on all has been excellent as has the DS service experience. I used to drive the same cars as the crowd, now I love the looks and questions it always raises. The new facelift car is a big leap forward. Wireless Apple CarPlay is great but most of all the electric only option of 40 miles costs me less than £2.00 a day to charge up and I’m currently on 80mpg and still have 3/4 of a tank of petrol for a car I’ve had 8 weeks. Buy at the right time and you get a real bargain, I got my fully loaded £53,000 car for £39,000. Great video for the underdogs as usual 🙂
So it has AI that does not have access to realtime information only several years old. But it still has an AI button on the steering wheel. So what are you going to use it for that has to do with your car?
AI not a lot to like apart from gimmickry but no doubt it will develop to become a useful tool. Will it be able to write speed ticket mitigation cases?
I love look of them. As a motor trader. Knowing residuals. I just cannot. But. On looks and drive on a lease for somebody. It’s an easy Yes. Just don’t buy for the old cash/bank balance
Premium crossover SUVs are on a roll! Right off the bat: the style. The D is DS stands for different or distinctive, and i think it really lives up to that. Love the body lines, especially in this grey finish, but the rear lights are a bit busy for my liking. I prefer the rear lights of a Volvo xc40. Now im not too sold on the AI. I think that's for someone who REALLY needs it. Because if you look at the competition: Volvo, Genesis, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti etc they're perfectly fine without that little feature, and the luxury, comfort and performance that they offer, truly makes the DS7 an underdog. So does the AI technology and other features give the DS7 a competitive edge over its rivals? This will be interesting too see in the near future. Great review.
They can keep the AL I'm not a big fan don't think it's a good idea and can see a lot of people have problems with it not working in the future, isn't having driver modes bad enough! Keep it simple people it's a car ment to get you from point A to point B !!
Chat GPT is just a gimic. There us cars out there that you can ask to open sunroof and thet will do it. Can't remember what it is. Do uou lnow it Tish? Maybe you dtove it.
Technology sells this vehicle, but there's better for the money. I wouldn't buy it, they need to do better to with interior and exterior design for that price. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND THE TEAM TISH. 🎉🥳🧨.
I am a Toyota and Nissan fan, I do own a 17 year old Avensis 1.8 petrol, had it for over 5 years it passes every MOT first time all I've spent on it is a starter motor that's just wear and tear and regular servicing and petrol! before that I had 2 Primera's a 1.6L 4-door in black and a 2.0 Sport plus Estate they were good cars as well
