I called Frank and he was responsive with sound troubleshooting advice. I would recommend his expertise to anyone having electric wheelchair issues. Thanks again Frank - Doug Quinn
Thankyou!!!! It is so vulnerable and frightening to lose your mobility, specially ahead of special events. You’ve really made a difference to peoples lives! Thank you so much!
So I have a problem with the same joystick: it works completely fine but it does not turn off no matter how I push the on/off button it just does not work… Do have an idea what may be a solution to my problem?
Yes we have seen that before, nothing that you could do to it to do a self fix. But , if you want to send it to us, we`ll repair it. Usual cost $129 Thanks, Frank Address to send is found here www.joystickrepair.com 1800 717 1252
I have a question. I fully charge my batteries (5 months old) and it just started messing up. I turn it on and it reads Full. I can literally go to the next room and Turn it off and than back on, and I now how Red Bars. Off again and wait just a few seconds and back on and have either gained Bars or now have flashing Single Red Bar. Off again and in a few mins I gain up into the Yellow lights. I have NO ERROR CODES. When I plug in the charger, I get the Flashing Green in about 5 minutes. Someone told me it is probably a Dead Cell in the batteries. WHAT DO YOU THINK? I can't afford to pay someone to come out and repair it. I haven't tried to run it totally out of power. I don't want to get stuck somewhere. Can you please help me?
Good afternoon, my chair is a Dalton and the wrench flashes 8 times and I already checked the current and if the voltages are reaching what could be the fault?
An eight flash indicates the module. The module rarely goes bad though, could be the cord. Here is a link to the fault codes for the shark joystick. www.joystickrepair.com/dynamic-error-codes We can check them out for you to diagnose your problem. Thanks, Frank 352 999 4477
Hello, so i have a problem. I have this Joystick and the off button isnt working. It turns on but doesnt turn off. so i thought i just connect a switch to the joystick to turn it off and i did. It works fine but the Joystick shows Error code 9 i mean it works and drives as usual but im worried that this error code will have consequences as turning into this slower limp mode (according to the manual) So my question is: Is there a way to turn this error off or what would you suggest as an option to fix my problem?
I think that the switch you put in line is creating your code. Most likely the module reads the power outage as an interruption in signal. If you can live with the flashing, continue on. Otherwise reverse what you did to see if it goes away, then perhaps we can assist with the on/off trouble. Frank 352 999 4477
Good morning, on my joystick the LEDs indicating the speed do not light up. if I press the buttons to increase or decrease it there is a difference but in any case the wheelchair is too slow. the batteries are new and all other functions have no problems and it does not report any error codes. can you help me please?Thank you.
The on off circuit being a mechanical/electrical component sometimes gets worn out. We can repair the unit, it takes us a day to do so. Thanks Frank 1800 717 1252
Great video you are very helpful I am in longtime chair user I in fact have 10 different chairs how much do you charge for consultation I have some questions about replacing the joystick and control module on a invacare SP2 HD I would like to go with a mark 6 joystick and the compatible control box I might add that the chair is currently in Bogota Colombia and I want to be able to take the parts back with me on my next visit and install them part of this reason is I really need to be able to add the gyro and to be able to have the sd card for programming which I do on one of the chairs that I have at home in Alaska
