All parties use an influential Political figurehead who resonates with his supporters and unfortunately Zuma is what I would say (only influence terms) a Nelson Mandela to Xhosa people as he is part of the first Group of Black presidents....Problem is who will the nguni people elect after his generation and this is where both Zulu and Xhosa have been failing interms of political succession plans post 2030.And oneday so called rural voters/economy will oneday get the same level of economic opportunities instead of being a trickled down resources from urban outskirts

When Xhosa people voted Mbeki's Cope they were not tribalistic, when Pedi people voted Malena's EFF they were not tribalistic, but as soon some Zulu's vote for the MK they are tribalistic? Mantashe is irresponsible and driven by tribalism. Zulu people just punished the ANC and especially useless leaders like Mantashe well-done KZN.

Iam from KZN, its true tribal politics dominates here over logic and reason, pre 1994 and after 94 KZN was led by IFP( a Zulu tribalism party). People who are not familiar with KZN politics think, that tribal politics mentality died with IFP, it didnt Zuma knows about that mentality and he uses it. Even during his first presidential campaign Tribilism slogans and mentality was there. Unfortunately the ANC dint see problem with that at the time cause it was beneficial to them. Does MK denying other ethnic groups to join it or some other ethnic groups don't want to join MK because it was formed by JZ who they see him to be a Zulu person. Who is then a racist here? Why you are not joining it? I know of some people from North West who joined MK.
Gwede & Fikile were part of the group that decided to keep KZN members out of the top 6 officialls of the ANC so they must take responsibility for their actions.
