Beautiful truck. For anyone wondering about the Powerboost I bought one last December a 23 XLT and is also white. I just passed 4000 miles and here's the scoop on fuel mileage. It's fucking insane. I've never had any vehicle let alone a truck get this high mileage per tank. Some are saying if you drive a lot of highway driving at 55 mph and above you don't get much of the hybrid benefit of the Powerboost. Well I'm here to say that simply isn't true. My commute to and from work is about 45 miles round trip and is about 80% at 55-60 mph with the remaining being city driving. The Powerboost comes with a 30 gallon fuel tank due to placement of the battery. The last 3 tanks I got over 600 miles each and averaged around 23 mpg. The highest was my last tank which I drove 627.5 miles at 23.2 mpg with 29 miles left until empty according to trip computer. After filling up and resetting the trip computer it showed I could go 714 miles with this fill up. I want to point out this is not with a driving style like Grandma would drive. I did have a little bit of fun because the Powerboost is simply amazing as a performer especially in Sport Mode. I would also like to note that I've never had any vehicle go more then a week between fill ups. This truck I'm going roughly 2 weeks between fill ups. Depending on price per gallon and driving habit so far I'm saving roughly $60 -$100 per month on fuel costs. I would also like to note that so far when I put the drive mode in Sport Mode the only time it enters hybrid mode is when I come to a stop. Not sure if this is working as intended or if it's like this due to low mileage. I only say this because I've noticed as I put more mileage on the truck it enters hybrid mode at higher speeds more often. Example, the highest speed I could go in hybrid mode was between 45-50 mph but here as of late it went into hybrid mode at 59 mph once, granted I was off the throttle but so was I before. This is just my experience thus far. However driving in Sport Mode is exhilarating. I have not reset the average mpg since I bought the truck and it's currently at 22.0 mpg with 4022 miles driven. In the end would I recommend the Powerboost option as an owner? Yes, Yes I would. In my opinion it's the total package. Performance and incredible fuel mileage. In case anyone is curious the sticker price on my truck was just under $63,000. Like I mentioned it's an XLT but has some decent options. If anyone would like to know the options on my truck just ask. So in the end I think it's safe to say that so far the Powerboost can easily go at least 600 miles per tank and the beauty is it only takes at most 10 minutes to fill up and be on the road again.
I have been consistently getting 28mpg with the 2.7L Ecoboost. To me the extra cost and weight of the battery and the larger displacement engine are not worth it.
This is the best looking 24 I've seen yet. The new tail lights look better. The new headlights and grill look great here but look cheap as hell on anything below a Lariat. I would still take my 23 platinum V8 with BAP in avalanche over this though. Mine has dual exhaust and blacked out platinum on tail gate.
Thx for walk-around. Online configurator says the Platinum includes dual exhausts existing under bumper like the blackout package last year. The website also shows the multi function tailgate being part of the bed utility package. This isnt on your truck either. I'm disappointed at the misinformation on ford's website and what is actually being built.
Just checked the build and price on Fords website for the 2024 F150 Platinum, I’m not seeing dual exhaust, or even an option for it. I do see the tailgate pro access looks to be standard on platinums, with the option to remove it. They do update and change their website often though.
@@InDepthLook Look under Model Highlights / Power and Handling section. There it clearly says 'exhaust - dual with tailpipes exiting under rear bumper'. Very disappointing the build info on website is inaccurate.
Awesome truck, i heard the big screen and 36 gallons gas tank are standard in 2024 in all trim is that true? I never heard anyone mentions that so far.
Why does it have the shitty chrome side exhaust tip? And not the dual out back like the ‘23 Black Appearance Package does? Also, the taillights on the ‘24 are hideous.
