Can I just say how refreshing it always is watching you appreciate all the things you own, and use them alongside your new things. Girrrrllll! I put up my Fall decorations last week and I live in Puerto Rico, where we only have Summer all year long! I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and love Autumn and Winter! What you mentioned about if you’re a mom with young kids, and doing things that make sense for your season has stuck with me all day. I don’t know why it felt so reassuring!! I want to do such pretty fun things for my littles but they aren’t at ages where they notice not to mention I’m constantly exhausted. So saying what you said gave me a relief I didn’t realize I was looking for ❤

When the mood hits me for fall decor I just do it ..last year it was sometime in August and the hottest day of the summer I think…people are to regimen into thinking is a certain time to do this a certain time to do that. I say when you’re in the mood go for it.

You are a woman after my own heart. I have four kids too. All grown so now I do a lot of decorating for my grandkids. But still my kids and husband appreciate that I still decorate for the holidays. I always believe our home/nest is our safe place away from the troubles of school and work and the world. So I always believe in making home someplace special. Ever see a christmas tree turned into fall tree? I promise you it is beautiful. My step dad passed sept 28, and his fav flower was sunflower.... so every september we put up a fall sunflower themed tree in remembrance of him as well as just bringing joy to a time that brings alot of pain of missing him. My family decorates it sunflowers, leaves, any fall flowers, pinecones, acorns, woodland animals, etc. And white/yellow lights. Omg just as im writing this you said your mother passed away last october ! Im so sorry ! & Also, timing of me writing this and you saying that is eerilly sweet.♡

I am so drawn to fall colors and the season and I don’t believe any other seasons colors compare to fall. The colors can be vibrant or muted and is still beautiful and Lauren you chose such beautiful colors to start your fall off with. Lauren, my husband and I were unable to have children… but I am a mama to 4 fur baby Beagles…and when you said Charlie Brown great Pumpkin i screamed!!!I have a little girl beagle named Lolly that is 2. Since she was 9 weeks old she watches great a portion on great pumpkin Charlie Brown Every EVERY night!!! Like clockwork!!! Let me tell what I know about the women who shop Home Goods in my area. I was shopping at my local Home Goods store one Saturday morning. Around and around the store I went looking at first the clearance section. It's scattered sections through out the store. As I got towards the back of the store near the stock room door I see several women sitting in the display chairs. I'm just thinking to myself they are just testing them out. I went around again, and the same thing was still going on. So I asked someone what were they waiting for. 1 of the ladies spoke up and said that they meet there every Saturday morning because they want to be the first to see what comes out of the stock room. I was shocked. I'm a bargain hunter but wow, they were hard core bargain hunters. Also when your hubby gets the shelves up in the cabinets ask him to put your cabinet handles back on. I love the subtle fall changes in your house.

I live fall! But with back to school/work I don’t always find the time to do as much decorating as I would like. My 9 year old pulled the decor out and her and her sister decorated…May need a couple fixes but I am happy they wanted to get into the spirit of fall!
