#trailrunning #fellrunning #ultramarathon .
Toby and myself attempt the 61 mile, 11000 feet of ascent Fellsman event in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. From Ingleton to Threshfield past 25 checkpoints over many hilltops, through beautiful valleys and over rugged open ground. A hard, rewarding challenge not to be taken lightly.

Thanks for another great video Andrew, and for your company for the first 5 hours - it helped me get round in 19:05. Big respect that you got all the way to Cray. There’s always next year!

Quodos Andy, the very thought of such a race makes my knees hurt! Nice documentary of the race and truly well done for supporting your friend so well. Next time - smash it!

Yes I think I now understand the challenge a bit more. Also it took me to dent. I've never been there before and what a lovely valley. Definitely going back there.

@@huntonthetrails Tracy and I discovered Dent when we were looking for camping spots close to train stations. Dent station is five miles from Dent so we had to hike along the valley. Stunning countryside and everyone is so chilled and relaxed. We found Condor Farm, the most basic camping site you could find but cheap and very nice hosts. We completely fell in love with the place and have been back many times. I biked there once, and there are some great road routes for cyclists.

I think me I will go back with Judith, like you said via the train station and then walk to another train station...maybe Kirby Stephen. A bit more leisurely than this though.

@@huntonthetrails yeah, we yomped from Dent to over Ingleborough to Ribblehead. Thought we had missed the last train so it was a bit fraught.

Regardless of the DNF, doing any of that route is an achievement. Well done.

Thank you. I certainly don't feel down about it. It was more challenging than I expected and hopefully I will be better prepared mentally and physically next year.

Get back after it next year! Your videos are fantastically shot - what set up do you use?

Hi , thank you. I will definitely be doing it next year. Set up is just a gopro 10 on a short selfie stick and foam windcover when I'm running. When I'm backpacking I use the mediamod, although I'm not sure the sound is much better.

Plus on this video Toby used an Insta360 which gave some nice shots but the mic struggled with the wind. Also my wife sometimes uses her iphone for additional clips.
