Take my advice don't bet him I think he won't even hit the board Especially 20 horse field he ain't going anywhere in the race There's too many better horses than him Sierra Leone Domestic product Catching freedom Just to name a few Don't count Timberlake out
@@frankdeangelo6327 It's the KDerby. Don't count anyone out. To throw out a horse that just broke the all time margin record in the Florida Derby, would be dumb. I'm not saying he's gonna win, but as of now, he's the clear cut favorite.
Not ridiculous...where was Hades?the now house front runner that beat him in the holy bull?you get away with..what they let you...Johnny v is a rookie??lol..y'all weird
@@BryantBrothers-gm1qx - Hades got bumped around at the start and was very wide throughout. Still, likely wouldn't have been a threat to winner. Easy 24 second first quarter for Fierceness. Not likely to get away with that in the Kentucky D.
What I was saying was it will take much better horses to dispute the issue with Fierceness...and jockeys who don't allow him an easy, uncontested lead.
@@tombrady7616 I hope that's my Choice in the Derby Sierra Leone. There's a few others I like also But I don't like Fierceness one bit .Maybe Catching freedom n Domestic product. I'm counting out Timberlake either. I have a few bombs also West Saratoga Seize the grey. If they enter
@@frankdeangelo6327 Fierceness is the real deal. Sierra Leone is slow, but Churchill Downs is a tricky track, especially for horses that never ran there. Fierceness needed his last start, but people keep thinking they're machines, instead of Animals.
@@tombrady7616 Slow hate to see your meaning of Fast because you didn't research very well Sierra Leone had better times then him Your completely wrong all I will say Sierra Leone might not win but will finish better than Fierceness N I guarantee Fierceness doesn't win . Not a chance
Each year NBC disappoints by only displaying the early fractions, never the 3/4 mile, mile, and final time (like every other horse racing video production does).
Fierceness just wasn't sharp enough for his first start of the year, but I didn't hold that against him. I knew his Breeder's Cup Juvenile was too good to be a fluke! Still, you always need good racing luck in the KY Derby.
In the Holy Bull, it got bumped in the start. The horse is breaking way outside. It couldn't have a much better position, but it needs to get out quick
I really hope Feirceness wins the Derby. Mike Repole deserves a win at Churchill. Dude has gotten so unlucky in the past. He had to scratch TWO KEntucky Derby favorites days, if not hours before each race.
I love this race, and for many years, we just take our bikes to the race. The atmosphere of this race is incredible, but I have to say that when it comes to horse racing, the build-up is always better than the race.
Remember Rich Strike And Justify?? Well The Favorite Will Have A Lot Too Contend With Out Of The Gate. Vasquez Has Been There Twice Before And Won The Derby, But That Doesn't Always Go Into Favor. Its Who Calls The Horse Too Turn On Its Turbo 🐎 At The Right Moment In The Last 130 Yards To The Finish Line. And That Is Whom Will Win The Derby.
He was the only speed, if you call that speed at all, 24 and 47 that is crawling, this horse did not get tired, never got challenged, in the Holy Bull, he got to speed duel and gave up. Kentucky Derby will not be that easy, we’ll see.
@@Muskratlove This is just the beginning of the season. In fact, I have never considered the Kentucky Derby a sign of quality. The winners of the derby often lose their potential after it and by the end of the racing season already go to cover mares.
Always a tough race, what I don't get about you "fans" is ..he a bum when he run a bad race...then when he runs big?it's wait till next time,smh..y'all weird....very very WEIRD
It might not be, but I can't see value in hoping this horse runs this race against 19 other horses with an utterly different pace scenario at a novel distance.
He ran 1:48.22 and that was pretty impressive. He will win the Kentucky Derby for sure just like I got him on the exacta with Muth in the Breeder Cup Juvenile
17 post tuff!! Will be 3/4 wide entire trip!! Leone will be in last pack of 5-6 horses into 1st turn, if he can maneuvered outside of that pack in backstretch and with a hot pace will circle field to edge out just a touch who will have the lead mid stretch!!! I GUARANTEE IT!! 😛
Scary thought, he bested barbaro, empire maker and spectacular bid in his Florida Derby final time. If he breaks clean , he wins by 6 lengths in Kentucky. If not, sierra Leone edges forever young by a length.
Wow. That was impressive. No way is any other horse, regardless of performance in the upcoming Arkansas, Santa Anita, Bluegrass or Wood....going to be the favorite in the derby. Fierceness is going to be the favorite. Lets see what his speed figure ends up being. I assume its gonna be high. I'm not saying he's gonna win the Derby, just saying he's gonna be the fav. He won't get easy fractions like that in Derby.
Totally agree that Fierceness will be the favorite in the derby. I would anticipate that he will get at least a 100 Beyer for this trouncing that he just put on this field. It is clear that he has plenty of ability to win on the first Saturday in May in Louisville, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to take him at a short price in a very large field. If he breaks well then he is a legitimate contender for sure but I think that post position draw may be key for him.
MSW winner - Champagne loss - Juvenile winner - Holy Bull loss - Florida Derby winner - Kentucky Derby, the trend is he will lose, and beside he was the only speed in todays race, my guess is he will lose next race.
Look at Jonny V riding him comfortably and in a breeze all the others are low and seem to be rushing. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me because the time was slow. Weird race. Or he was running against 10k claimers ?
@@question_it_701 yeah , he has no chance in the derby. when do you see a 110 on a 24 and hes jogging down the stretch? so if he was pushing himself he would of had a 122 I dont think so
Thinking this horse is gonna make it a boring Derby this year, seems no other horse close to him in quality this year. Probably win derby and Preakness Preakness then loose the Belmont.
Very well could happen. But he hasn't even made the gate yet in the Derby. I don't know where the "quality" is. Fierceness, when he runs his best, has ran well enough to be a Kentucky Derby winner. That's one thing he has going for him. His best is certainly capable of being a winner. He' shown he can sputter also. Which one is he gonna be on Derby day? As of now, If all horses had the same odds.... he'd be my obvious pick in the derby. Simply because he is good enough to win it.
@@o5iiawah Probably too expensive to place a win bet that is gonna pay a huge payback. I'm starting to see sooo many people pick Sierra Leone....i could see SL becoming post time favorite.
He feels like a sucker's bet in the Ky Derby. He might well blow the field away, but you're going to get 5-2 in a 20 horse field where so many things can go wrong. I couldn't bet him here even though I expected a much better race than the Fountain of Youth.
That's the thing. So many things can go wrong. At least with a front running/stalking style, you have LESS than can go wrong. Derby is a good race to bet on a long shot, theoretically, simply because so many things can go wrong. Traditionally favorites in Kderby do well, but if I want to strike gold on a bet, the Kentucky Derby is the one I'm gonna try to do it on. I've watched and bet horses since 1997. Silver Charm/Free House/Captain Bodgit!. I've watched every replay of every grade 1 race since the mid 70s. Many many times The older I get, the more I realize how little I know.
You people don’t no anything 24 but look the time 148/1 that is speed rate 110 easy is going to win the Kentucky derby depending what position but that time is the best so far
Yeah umm if the breeders cup aka Florida derby aka maiden fierceness shows up in Kentucky it’s curtains . Incredible time too. 3rd fastest in last 20 years and he was geared down
Scary thought, he bested barbaro, empire maker and spectacular bid in his Florida Derby final time. If he breaks clean , he wins by 6 lengths in Kentucky. If not, sierra Leone edges forever young by a length.
