Despite its age, the Ford Edge remains competitive thanks to its all-around competence and solid value. It doesn't stand out in any unique way, but it offers decent power, respectable handling, and a spacious cabin.
My wife and I have had 7 of them and love the EDGE. Perfect size for use. I currently have 2 parked in my garage. everyday rides my 2013 and my wife's 2024.
There has always been something about Ford I dislike. Whether it is design choices, or just the overall flow of the vehicle. hard to describe I guess. That said, my dad had a 2005 Ford Ranger that he sold still running with 500,000+ miles on it. I had a 2017 Ford Fusion, and it looks really good outside, but the interior was just meh and I generally dislike the interiors of Fords (Mustang not included). The Edge is a nice SUV, especially the ST, but it would not be my first choice. New cars are way overpriced.
When I first got my 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid, it has that rotary dial shifter. One time I accidentally threw it in reverse while parking and nearly hit my head on the steering wheel (lol). I hate it, I got used to it but it's a weird design choice that I never liked. I do not like Ford's interiors, but the new Mustang interior is quite nice.
