This is just a personal view... But I find GAC to be a better brand than Geely. UPDATE: I saw an Emzoom sa mall. Clips are Bosch, certain parts are Aisin and Denso, tires are PS4's. Just show's the effort they use on quality parts.
Yup! And GAC manufactures Toyotas in China. Kaya I trust them to some degree more than other Chinese brands, at least sa reliability. Ultimately naka depende parin yung satisfaction sa aftersales.
GAC cars have very good appeal. I like the Emzoom's overall design more than the Coolray and I would pick the former rather than the latter. I will still pick the newer international version of the Coolray though, what the PH market is outdated, but still very good. And the GS8 looks very good. Best looking SUV in the local market for me.
@@tiyaisabel south china morning post channel post the issue of china cars where exterior are good but the structure materials are wearing off easily and also compilation of complains where they replace parts frequently. Be careful driving this off road. I won't buy any China cars, I stick with mazda, toyota and honda for build quality. I have mazda cx5 and toyota 86 btw. Do deep research if you guys are gonna buy china cars or drive it very carefully. Make sure to check complaint reports of the china car companies

Nice looking van both exterior and interior, however I have to ask has it passed any ASEAN NCAP testing? I have my doubts as looking at that front grill, if it hits a pedestrian it would be like feeding them through a meat slicer.
It's plastic, it won't do anything. It's not as dangerous as American trucks. 2nd, ASEAN NCAP is a joke. You seriously trust an organization that thinks cars like the Wigo is somehow "safe"?

Well they can certainly copy japanese durability, GAC have been manufacturing toyotas hondas and mitsubishi in china for a long time, GAC is using toyota's aisin transmission which is known for reliability, even now GAC and toyota is in a joint venture producing new engines
We were about to buy this one but another new comer will come and it’s better, the zeekr 009. And my parents can afford it, not me 😢😅, as we were an Alphard owners, they are now seniors but the markups are astronomical! 1.5M to 2M. FYI we just recently sold 1st gen Alphard for 750k with 90k odo. Those POGOs are buying all the Alphard and I don’t get it really
The Chinese love minivans. You'd be surprised how advanced and extremely premium their minivans are in China that they outclass the Alphard by a very hard margin. Just look at the Buick minivan they have there in China. Plus the Chinese, just like us and many other nationalities, love buying foreign brands hence why they get Alphards since it's not Chinese and were the only available and good minivans in the country for years. Kia's Grand Carnival is a joke and very few of them buy it as well especially with how bad Kia was handled here
With those captain seats, I wouldn't mind getting stuck in traffic and most people will very likely sit on the 2nd row seats than the driver's side passenger seat.

Nah, that's normal. You're forgetting it's a gas powered car, it's huge and heavy especially with the nifty stuff it has specifically the captain seats. What did you expect? Even the Alphard isn't that fuel efficient. Nor is the newer hybrid engine of the Alphard something to write home about since it's mainly there to increase power and torque and to abuse the whole hybrid/EV exemption law.
