I can’t imagine using 15 Mahogany Splendors. Last year I tried 5 plants along the south facing fence of my garden. They all grew seven feet tall, and maybe four feet wide, way more than anybody could want. I was flabbergasted!
Your space is getting big! I know what you mean about maintenance getting away from you. I have my own garden, two-raised beds in a community garden that I grow smaller vegez, an in ground bed on a farm property that I grow potatoes, and larger vegez, and this year I'm setting up a cut-flower on a farm. So I'm going to be very busy, but I'm making myself have at least one day to spend in my own garden to enjoy. I really missed that and the weeds were hard to stay on top of. Oh, and take more photos. I really slacked last year, so I'll be making sure I'm snapping lots of photos. Have a fun gardening season!
Rudbeckia and feverfew are invaluable for this profession.... Great plan - we're slowing down now and I'm trying saving some rudbeckia and orlaya seed. I'll be watching along 🎉
Wow...sounds like you're gonna hit the ground running this yr.! I was going to ask the same ? about the dirt on top of gravel. Sooo the dirt doesn't run out into the gravel at all? Awesome plans. That's one of the things you do so well. It's going to be epic!!!!!! Can't wait.
Hey! Loving all the new planting space! Do you have any suggestions on how to turn lawn into planting space? Are creating raised beds the easiest? Thanks!
Thank you for this great walk thru of your garden. It looks like an awesome plan! How will you save the later summer sunflower area for later planting? Landscape fabric? Interested in your weed mgt plan for there - and really any area!!
@@SunshineFlora wishing you lots of success this year! Last year was my first year growing mostly flowers, and loved it so much that I ended up building out an entire new growing area for this year for flowers and various pumpkins and gourds. Looking forward to a bloomin’ good year!
Hi there, very exciting new garden. Question: did you remove the gravel to add the top soil? Would like to know how you did that since Im facing the same situation with my new garden. Thanks
