2024 Gas Truck Nationals at HRCR.
What a blast! Tons of track time between practice, qualifying, and main events. Layout and surface prepared for 1/10th cars and trucks that was flowing and easy on vehicles. Indoor pitting, campingBBQ, and both vintage and modern 1/10th class classes. Thank you HRCR!

Thank you Adam and HRCR for putting this race on! Knocking it out of the park was an understatement, I can't wait until next year to see what's in store. The battles were great, even down to the last lap with SCT bmain.....so close to bumping!

Would love to go to HRCR in '25 to attend with my Ignite TLR 22T 4.0, but thats probably out of my reach right now. Great to see the love for gas truck though. Brings me back to when I was a kid after waiting all month to read the latest race coverage in RC Car Action of you, Tebo, and the others.

I actually agree. I had a small cheap 2wd nitro truck made by a cheap brand like xtm or something similar . I only used it up the local park jumping over small dirt mounds and burning around and I actually remember it being Great fun.

I also have the ignite kit, that i put together a year and s half ago to run in florida at newberry. I would love your setup sheet. I couldnt get my to handle at all.

Big question is. Can i bring a traxxas nitro rustler? Its far too expensive to get into for the normal guy, buy new t4 kit, buy conversion kit, buy electronics and motor. Thats alot. If i could bring a rtr rustler and slap on some appropriate tires there shouldnt be an issue right?

To be honest i don't see why not. They didn't have a dedicated motor size call out. Just take some time tuning the chassis to help it handle better. Kurt Delki ran his old traxxas srt stadium truck in the electric class and the buggy version in vintage buggy. They even had someone run a Losi nitro 4x4 short course running with all us electric rigs.

Heck yeah buddy, Nitro Rustler is a 2wd nitro stadium truck, send it!!! I'm actually thinking of getting one, to play with along with my GT2 and two Ignite AE conversions... that or a Nitro Slash.

Traxxas is the only one making a stock truck at the moment. Y'all need to see about how to make them fit in the class, even with the bigger motor. Gas truck is sick!

Adam this was by far so fun. We are still having so much fun with this layout weekly! We can race eachother more so than racing the "track" and that is so much fun! I'm excited for this next year as I bought a really pretty AEGT! Thank you, Adam Drake and Brian of HRCR for making this happen!

I think there's a few places in the east where they do have some GTs ripping around... The guys at Dirt Concepts and Ignite might have some suggestions of where to find some events that run GT class ...

I was thinking more along the lines of a big event advertised somewhere on the east coast to attract a lot of racers to come. Not everyone can go to Idaho. I’m sure there’s some trucks here and there, not nobody is going to drive 7 hours to a club race with 4 other people. It would have to be a bigger scale planned event.

This race was such a blast and learned so much about nitro racing. Can't wait to get my two XXX-NT running better for the event next year
