As vehicles get bigger and bigger (SUVs etc), the S-class don't stand out as much anymore... Driving past an s-class vs driving past an e-class looks mostly the same to me unless I really pay attention and/or it's black/chrome and super clean/shiny.

@@bannedone3ice138 Your options are real wood or crushed carbon for those areas, which is what Lambos use...The rest of the materials you see and touch are mostly real leather and real aluminum, just like in other 100k+ full-size sedans, but with less plastic and piano black plastic than the A8, 7 series and S class use these days.

@@johnakkman9993 Meanwhile, Lexus still has giant plastic buttons and interiors from 20 years ago. Their latest LS has some interesting materials, but you'll see like 7 types of materials and patterns on the same door which is just silly. Their exteriors stink and have been ugly for several generations now, and even most Lexus owners can't even tell the difference between an ES and an LS, let alone other people. It's also smaller and less impressive than it used to be in the rear and many Lexus LS owners moved to the G90 and found it a nice upgrade. If you check the forums, many G90 owners came from the LS after Lexus stopped innovating and kept catering to grandparents who still think "lexus is reliable". Lexus unfortunately gave up on sedans years ago, they just make the same SUV with different names and a 1-2" difference between their models, like many other manufacturers. They made the LFA then forgot they can make cool cars. They made the LC500 which people love, and none of their sedans and SUVs have much in common with it for some dumb reason.

Could be a plug in hybrid. The interior is lackluster in some ways.

@@johnakkman9993I travelled to Tokyo back in June 2024. I am quite surprised alot LS roaming in the busy streets. Lexus LS is a nice car, but need to be more competitive for the next gen.

The infotainment should be more responsive but not like those from Tesla. After all, Using your phone/tablet while driving is dangerous and against driving regulations.

For more money, you can buy an S class without reclining rear seats, without cruise control, without automatic closing doors, without rear steering and much more lol. A fully loaded S class is great. The type of S class most people buy isn't. Just look up used ones, they're basically never fully loaded, so you're getting a lot less for a lot more money. When you're paying in the $150k range, you'll get a comparable car, but you can essentially buy a loaded G90 plus a loaded G70 for that price. If you want a Maybach which compares even better, that's hundreds of thousands of dollars more, depending on options. Though I will say you get more engine choices and a lot more horsepower if you pay for it.

@@Kampfgruppe9260I’m not a “troll.” My name is Eric, I am a judge, and I live in Indiana. I had a 2018 and 2021 G90 and both of them gave me non-stop problems.

The Korean long wheelbase model is basically a Maybach for 1/3 of the price. It's so sweet, I wish they sold it in North America. I mean you get the cooler in the back, leg rest, foot rest, even foot massage! Same size as the Maybach too, and pretty much the same features but with arguably better looks.

@@iSOBigD In theory, we can't really compare the Maybach and the G90, but I have to say I agree with you 100%. The Maybach, sure, if you have the means for it, go for it, but meanwhile, the G90 is NOT a bad pick. Its rare, its unique, it actually looks amazing, and has a crap ton of features, its comfortable, and as you said, its a third of the price. I find that the price for this is bang on. But would you choose this over a 760i or S580 for the same price? (second hand)

@@deanwilliams433 Yes! I had a 2014 and it was all that a luxury car should be. Got a 2020 and could not believe all the shabby materials in the car, felt like I paid a lot for a large C class. Underwhelmed, I will never pay for a name only and that's what it felt like.

Not so, I have a dedicated Genesis dealer in my town. Since its new, its much nicer than my Mercedes service center. I've been driving s class for 14 years, but the piano black plastic, giant fingerprint magnet center screen, single stitched leather and higher price every time I trade drove me to look at Genesis, and I'm glad I did. I am a chauffer to my 9 year old grandson and he loves the massage reclining rear seat! Also, very few cars depreciate like a higher end Mercedes, Genesis can't be worse.
