I’ve took delivery of an Advanced trim GV60 five weeks ago, and I love it more every time I drive it. The range is supposed to be 248, but I get about 280. So fun to drive. The driving assist is fabulous, very smooth, and even does all the work in stop and go traffic. You won’t believe me, but I now find traffic jams relaxing. Just sit back and chill listening to the 17 speaker B&O stereo. I also like that auto steering can be engaged separately from cruise control, and even works on many surface streets. The blind spot detection is fabulous, and even shows up in the heads up display. I really like the HUD, but it didn’t work with my polarized Ray-Bans. So I bought a set of Flying Eyes sunglasses! The Flying Eyes are every bit as good as Michael says they are (yes, I used your referral code). Oh, FYI you CAN get the $7500 rebate if you lease, and the Genesis lease allows an immediate buyout. I bought mine out before the first lease payment was due, saved about $6,500 (it cost about $1k to get in and out of the lease). Bottom line, I’ve been a car owner for over 45 years and this is by far the best car I’ve ever owned. 🎉
Regardless of whether I like the vehicle you are testing or not, I enjoy watching your family review very much. I usually enjoy my lunch while watching. Thank you for the family friendly review. It is relaxing and informative. :)
Micah, I remember you from Kelly Blue Books channel. Been following your new channel since Covid when you flew your chopper around LA to show just how quiet the highways were. I think it was Long Beach area where you flew so low. Love your family and your videos. Good job to all of you 👏 ❤
Didn't know this EV existed, wow. Easily the best looking Genesis on the market. Their design language works PERFECTLY on the GV60! Big fan now! They took some chances, and clearly hit a home run! Great review today!
If your local Hyundai dealer is anything like ours - they have 30 of them sitting out back in storage, and a bunch of sales reps confused about how to sell what is arguably the best EV SUV on the market.
Amazing review from your family, as always! The GV60 is so quirky but luxurious. I test drove it and loved it so much! Cant wait for the upcoming refresh of it.
7:51 all Hyundai/ kia / Genesis EVs are limousine smooth in terms of braking via the brake vs ipedal but the 3 Regen modes don't retard any slower than 6mph i think
You’ve not lost your edge, Micah. I like the GV60, and brother you bring both knowledge and excitement to everything you do. I’m thinking Christmas-24! So tired of seeing the Model Y “ everywhere I go.
4:14 the arm rest padding in the ioniq 5 was PERFECT, DOOR PADDING AND CENTER CONSOLE Padding were SYMMETRICAL, BROAD and ergonomic for driver comfort. No other new Hyundai/ kia / Genesis seems to be focusing on that level of padding any more ? What's going on ?
Great review of a gorgeous car. I find it so refreshing that Genesis took some design risks that work and set this car apart from most others due to its elegant design coupled with jaw-dropping performance.
11:53 wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto dongles are about $50 on Amazon so that's an easy fix, I use one on my EV6. I do agree it should be there from the factory though - and it should be on the refreshed 2025 E-GMP based cars.
Hi micah i really enjoy your reviews and you are in my top 5 absolute best automotive reviewers in existence. However i think you, along with all others, fall into the trap of thinking that the EV gold standard is a tesla. And any formula that deviates from, say a model y or model x, is deemed "strange, awkward, weird". And yes you guys will openly acknowledge a great EV, even if it seems strange to you. But i just wanted to point out to you that the benchmark is not tesla. An EV need not be a shameless copy of tesla to seem "normal".
Hopefully when they get the NACS port on this they add a few things like that wireless android audio and carplay, and new screen and also maybe a rear wiper.
Good question. I have a GV60 and there is no light there. Definitely no light on the pedal. The OBD port is on the other side of the steering wheel, right next to the door. Maybe an aftermarket security system?
Do the higher screen format have a Navigation that the smaller ones don't? I'm wondering if there's a licensing issue that.discourages automakers from offering wireless ACP & AA.
Genesis makes great looking vehicles. They are challenging automakers to keep up and some are already in the rear view mirror. It was not that long ago Genesis was an upstart brand with a questionable future...look at you now. BMW?...things in the rear view may be closer than they appear 🤨
My wife's 2023 Kona EV (base model) has wireless Android Auto. This Genesis needs to plug in??? Hopefully Genesis will have an OTA update to address this issue.
Very cool vehicle……but too expensive!! I guess all the “small, cool touches” all add up, but yikes!! No wonder I rarely see them….even in EV heavy L.A.!!
Lol you like your car that’s a great thing, but this and your vehicle are not the same or equivalent. I’d suggest drive it before making such strong opinions.
Performance only has 235 miles range? WOW! For 70K why would I buy this over other similarly priced EV’s that have far more range? So realistically the Performance probably gets only180 miles range , and for 70k or more I’m not sure this is a real contender. I personally love the look of this car, went to see one in person but didn’t do the test drive. If it had better range, I might contemplate buying.
Maybe, Hyendai is do not have solution to the ICCU problem. Only SW Update or change the same parts… I am Korean, but I do not trust their products at all. Keep your money and keep your life… on the highway… loss of power=death😅
Why are you promoting a color that isn’t even available to buy? That is really shady behavior. This is a blatant ad and you should at least advertise something that can actually be bought.
When EVs are past the beta stage of their development - it will be the Koreans, Chinese and the Germans who will have the lead and take the ball running. The domestics will be wondering where they came from
Hopefully the 2025 Genesis gv60 will get the same higher energy density battery that the 2025 ioniq5 gets later this year bringing range up by about 10 percent to past 275-280 miles.
Super review, Evie's part was wonderful. Now I now what to call the dial in my RL (NOBBYJOBBY). I hope Genesis were taking notes, you guys are top of the list when it comes to reviewing. Very entertaining.
