Or just hold down the phone hang up button on the steering wheel for 20-30 seconds to restart the infotainment system. You may need to select a radio station and press the power button on the infotainment system to unmute. Got me out of safe mode as well but safe mode is not needed when doing the hangup reboot option just have to be in park when doing so.
Didn’t fix mine. New truck that’s 2 months old and video cameras go in and out. Now no audio in my vehicle. Got rid of a Ford with 267k and didn’t have these issues.
Thanks! My brand new 2024 GMC Acadia volume was suddenly super low the morning after I bought it. Would not get above a whisper. You fixed it! Thanks! Love my new GMC Denali (just like the car Mom at the Detroit show) accept no brake hold)
I just got mine back from tinting the windows and I can’t get the radio louder than a quiet volume. Door dings/button beeps are normal but radio/apple play won’t turn up. Gonna try this.
Hi Daniel, Have you been able to diagnose what cause's the issue. My new 2024 Tahoe which I have had less than 1 month has had this issue happen at least six times. I believe this could be considered a safety issue as Onstar is also disabled when this happens. Thanks for figuring out the fix but very frustrated with Chevy !
It takes so long that when he started the video it was light out and by the end it was dark. It's so ridiculous that we're paying absorbent it amounts of money for these vehicles and it has glitches like this. I brought my 2023 Silverado to the dealer recently and there is still no software update for this issue and it happens to me at least twice a week. Crazy.
I have a 2024 Chevy Tahoe High Country. Purchased this vehicle 3 days ago and I’m having the same problem. It’s happened 3 times. The vehicle runs and looks great but if this keeps happening then I’m going to rid under Virginias lemon laws/sue to get out of this vehicle This is absolute BS!!! A buyer has 18 months, this has happened 3 times in 3 days (what pain a in the AZZ)
2024 at4 hd. Worst radio system ever. My 18 colorado was better. Software eng needs to be fired. Gm new infotainment has to many nannies , lacks funcanality, and customization. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
GM knows the issue and has a fix that will be shipped to dealerships as I write this. Unfortunately you will need to bring vehicle in as needs special update. Contact your nearest dealer.
Is there a TSB for this or something to reference? Got my 24 AT4 2 weeks ago and this has happened to me 2-3x. I have gotten audio back but this is ridiculous in a new vehicle.
@@ActionTj2098 TSB #23-NA-183 Version Y171 (Jan 4,2024). No problems since the GMC software update. You MUST bring truck into dealership for this. It’s not an over the air update. They have to use a USB drive.
It works better if you navigate to settings, apps, audio and force-stop the app. You need to be in park to get there. Turn the truck off; it should work again when you turn it back on. This is not a fix, just a workaround until they fix the bug.
I have a different problem where the system stops playing audio for a second.. while navigating around the menu it will freeze up and say "device connecting" and system comes back online. I've rebooted and it seemed to fix it for a few minutes then it starts again. Going to do the Safe Mode and try that. But has anyone else seen this? This is a 2023 Silverado Z2. One thing to note, I just upgraded my iPhone to iPhone 14 and it started after that. I've disconnected all the phones and it still does it.
Didn’t help at all. My 2024 1500 brand new yesterday. No nothing from radio, turn signals, Bluetooth. I changed Amp fuse still nothing. Had a 2022 Ford 150 for 2 years absolutely no problems, had this 2024 Chevy LTZ 1 day already scheduled to go into garage. Not happy.
@@danthesalesman hopefully soon. The display flickers and dash says the phone is in the charger when it isn’t. Sound stops daily. Kind of a bummer because it is a great truck otherwise. 2024 with just over 1k miles.
Right, so my ‘24 Chevy 2500 ZR2 does this a LOT. Does GM plan on fixing this? Or do I have to keep beating the shit out of my starter to get the radio to work? You know it should be embarrassing to GM that you have to do some voodoo shit to get your radio to work in your $90k vehicle when in a $30k car you just have to, wait for it… press the power button.
Nope, taking my truck back and getting a refund. Had less than 1 day and experiencing tech issues. I’ve had my Tesla 1yr with no issues. Never buying Chevy again.
