Great review! I am 6‘25“ (190cm) with 198-205lbs (90-93kg) and a intermediate skier doing my first steps into carving. Do you think the e-V8 is not strong enough for my weight/height? Would you recommend considering the supershape e-rally or would this be not the best choice as i am more a chilled skier?
It's strong enough for sure, it just prefers to make shorter turns at more moderate speeds. The Rally likes to be pushed a bit harder, so it mainly depends on what you're looking to get out of the ski.
The Forza 70 is a much higher octane ski versus the V8 which excels in shorter turns and at more mellow speeds. The V8 is like a high-quality intermediate ski while the Forza 70 fits in with more aggressive advanced and expert skiers.
Dear, could you tell me which length I should choose. I am 181 cm and 70 kg? I go skiing once a year and I consider myself an more advanced skier. Thanks in advance! :)
The V8 is a lower-octane ski than the other two. If you are more intermediate, this will be a more accessible choice for you vs. the higher end Magnum or Deacon 72.
The PX 81 has a lot of energy and pop to it while the V8 is more moderate in its application. Kastle does a great job keeping the ski snappy and smooth, functioning at a high performance level while maintaining a lighter weight. While the Head is mainly an intermediate ski, the Kastle does reach into the advanced and expert realms when it comes to top end performance.
I was looking to order these with the PR11 Protector binding (I have a partially torn ACL in my right knee) but was unable to find them with that combination in the UK. Instead I've pre-ordered the Supershape E-Magnum with PR13 Protector bindings. Can't wait for them to arrive so I can try them out on my local indoor slope then ski on them proper in Italy in December. Also, another great review. Well done.
Thanks! I'd go 177 in that ski based on your stats. They have a short radius, so going with the more shorter length will dramatically decrease the arc for you. Unless you want a very short radius ski, then go 170!
