Sooo I couldn’t resist going back for more! I was ready to try some drawer pouches and the Stappo, and I’ve been really enjoying them since unboxing! Let me know what you think! IG: GingerPeachyPens
I have the Koyuko version of the Stappo, so I already had an idea of how small it would be. I am planning on getting one soon. I am thinking it should be the year of the cat! I was hoping more for a dragon than a sea horse for the year of the dragon. So, I have been on the fence about it, I usually use two weeks one for health/self care journal. 11 dollars markup on that reseller for the weeks. In the Field of Flowers cover and pouch, I wish they added the dancing kitsume (fox) to the design.
The fox would have been so cute on the field of flowers! And yes, I agree that the sea horse is an interesting choice. It’s cute but not my favorite. I also like the plain canvas Stappo. I saw someone’s video with one, and it was cuter than I expected! And yes, the markup is really high from US retailers. Many items are DOUBLE the hobonichi price, but most all of them are at least 25-30% markup. So if you’re getting more than one or two items, it’s totally worth ordering from hobonichi directly!
@@gingerpeachy I am in Denmark, so there are only a few EU shops I could order from. They are preorder or sell out within seconds, so I just deal with Hobonichi direct. In the US I may go for a reseller if only get small things, but covers and books, nope, Hobonichi direct.
I am anxiously waiting for my first order!!!! LMAO!!!! Thank you for sharing,I also ordered the Stappo, it will keep my journal supplies together, I hope!!!!
Girl, same. I see them when they're new on Hobonichi and think nah, I don't need it. Then two years later I suddenly need it and it's impossible to find!
I don't disagree with you about the Stappo, but it does close up and have a handle on the outside so you can take it places. So you can certainly stand A5 notebooks upright, but if you want to close it and take it with you (I see a lot of people use them as mobile journaling kits or watercolor kits), you have to turn it horizontally and probably take the cover off!
