Nice review thanks. These are identical to the ones I have on my 2019.

How have they held up over the years?
@ajgressette
@ajgressette 29 дней назад
Very well with the exception, my bike fell over in a parking lot and broke the corner of the right side. The plastics real brittle I was able to superglue it and use a plastic welder . i’m not sure about the 24 model but the 19 you cannot buy just the left side of the right side. You have to buy the whole set again. 0:07

Tested these cases over 30.000km, 3 years, offroad in Albania, Bosnia, Monte negro etc and simply great..only one problem is when you will fall down with bike. Crash bars will work great, but these cases will jump out. (Alu cases make similar job like crash bars)

Does it damage the plastics on the bike when the panniers break free in a fall? Not super worried about the condition of the panniers after.
@jackk1583

good explanation. Agree that the cumbersome stays w/ the alum not as nice as black. Ques: Does honda make one size smaller I like them, but they are huge.
@coolhandchunk
@coolhandchunk 20 дней назад
They make 2 other top cases (42l aluminum and another smaller plastic case). As for panniers, they make aluminum cases (I believe someone said they were made by Touratek)... but not sure about other plastic side cases. There should be lots of options in the aftermarket or less expensive ones on Ebay or Amazon.

How are they holding up? Also, do you ride with a pillion? Do they have issues with leg clearance?

Nice for street riding! Then get a Mosko reckless 80 for off-road.
@coolhandchunk
@coolhandchunk Месяц назад
If I ride off road, I will likely just ditch the bags entirely and use a backpack instead. Here where I live, not many places to ride offroad legally... some registered snowmobile trails can be used in the summer, but the SxS and 4-wheelers keep them pretty busy.

Thanks for the video! Where are you located in Ontario? I ordered my 2024 ATAS DCT in Feb during the Toronto Motorcycle Show and the dealer says expected delivery is mid-July. Waiting for it eagerly. The bike looks stunning. Wishing you many happy miles on it! :) Hope to see you on the road soon.

I had mine on order as soon as the new model was announced back in January... waffled a bit between the ATAS and Base model, but after seeing them both in person at the Toronto show, I reconfirmed the order for the AS. My dealer wasn't originally earmarked for a bike (not a big volume dealer is suppose) but they were able to make arrangements with a larger dealer to get this bike to satisfy my order. I see that GP Bikes and DeWildt both have stock now (since the beginning of May).... may want to talk to your dealer to see if they can speed things up. Good Luck!
@johninflamez
@johninflamez Месяц назад
@@coolhandchunk I've ordered from Dewildt but they only have ATAS non DCT. Dealer said i might have to wait until the end of June for my delivery. Are you planning on adding any crash guards or accessories. If so, where would you score them from? Any good after market shops here in Canada for our 2024 ATAS?
@coolhandchunk
@coolhandchunk Месяц назад
@johninflamez I was originally thinking about Outback Motortek lower crashbars, just in case I drop it, but undecided at the moment. All options tend to be quite expensive. I don't plan on offroading much, so I really only want protection if I lose the bike when stationary.

I ordered the OEM plastic panniers for my 2024 AT Adventure Sports as well, for much the same reasons as you - I don't like having the frames left in place when I take them off and I really dislike the look of aluminum cases, it's like riding around with microwaves hanging off your bike. I ordered the 58L top box as well, I'm still waiting for everything to arrive at my dealer, bike included. The decals look good but I'm not sure I can bring myself to splurge the $160 each for the side cases and top box.
@coolhandchunk
@coolhandchunk Месяц назад
My top box just came in today. Just put on the stickers (yes, I am 2x a sucker) and the back pad. Putting the lock set in tonight. Will try and get a video up tomorrow showing the install and the box itself.
@coolhandchunk
@coolhandchunk Месяц назад
And... to add insult to injury... 160 for the stickers for the panniers + 160 for the stickers for the top box. Yup... sucker right across my forehead!

@@coolhandchunk I look forward to seeing what it looks like with the top box & side cases on it together. I suspect I am fighting a losing battle and will get the full decal set, I'm a sucker too. My bike is currently sitting at a dealer in Ottawa waiting to get shipped to New Brunswick, they are taking their sweet time. Is your bike manual or DCT?
@coolhandchunk

Mine is a manual. Another commenter here mentioned their DCT bike was delayed as well. Best of Luck.

@@coolhandchunkMine is manual as well. It's not really delayed, it is in Ottawa at a dealer. My dealer had already sold the only AT Adv Sports they were allocated but managed to find one for me in Ottawa that hadn't been sold yet, just waiting for them to ship it here. I got confused when I saw your reply, did you change your page name today?

No...I haven't. I have been stuffing my work computer bag in the one for riding back and forth to work.. but it may only be 5kg or so. They seem pretty sturdy though.

Agreed, not cheap. Unfortunately, there isn't an Aprillia dealer anywhere close to me. And the Aprillia is a bit smaller and less torque. Definitely a good bike, but I think I have made the right decision for me.

An Aprilia Tuareg isn’t even in the same class lol. It’s a middleweight bike with half the engine size. Not to mention barely any dealer network or aftermarket parts.

Sadly Honda is going BMW route..Ripping of customers bcs somehow they convinced customers they are gods while chinese are producing bike of same class at half price...Chinese shown its possible to make cheap bikes..These "top brands" are making their lower class weak so they can ripoff you with their top dogs...Look Transalp no tubeless or adjustable suspension...Trust me Aprilia is the best adv bike on market by far when you consider price
