@@64Wheels or maybe new colors for the mainline. Also, makes sense that some cars have louder gears, Camaros can make a lot of noise in real life after all :p

The Heavy Hitcher is cool. I bought it and my grand son and I played with it for almost an hour. I'll definitely be buying more!

Desperately hoping that Mustang becomes a mainline casting to go with the custom Camaro. If Hot Wheels is gonna do a licensed car, I'd much rather it be something modified like those. Love to see Muscle & Blown, too! Really hoping we get a 56 for the moody blue team this year, but since Punk Rod has that as its second color, I'm not too sure... Fully agree with you on getting to see a fantasy casting in more detail. I know it isn't viable, but I wish they'd give every casting official specs and 'lore' and all that instead of the basic blurbs on the cardback. Put bios on the website or something, with a QR code to access it.

Agree with you on the origin stories of fantasy castings - a deep dive into how the casting came about and its “place” in the Hot Wheels universe is something we’ve needed for a long time!

Problem with pullbacks are the flimsy motors. you have this tight metal coil contained inside of a cheap plastic casing/gearbox. Sometimes they aren't right to start with, and they could snap and stop working with any random use. Now flywheel friction drive motors, you can have ones that are weaker, or ones that grind or drag, but even THOSE aren't going to just randomly snap, ain't no spring to worry about.

I will say that these seem to be of higher quality than almost all pullback cars I’ve had in the past. Some are louder than others but they don’t vibrate or bounce nearly as much as the generic pull back cars do, which is good. I’ve had pull back cars from my childhood that have worked for decades, I think the trick to making them last is to not consistently overwind the heck out of them ha.

The Porsche is great and both the Camaro and Mustang and good too - I could see someone doing some nice wheel swaps to more realistic wheels and add some paint or decals to them as well!

The scale on these are all over the place,just like the smaller scale HW. The Mighty K is 1/32, the LoLux is between 1/32 and 1/36 and the Mustang and Camaro are off also. The only ones that seem to be 1/43 are the Alpha Pursuit, Muscle n Blown and GT Scorcher.

Agree there - the scale largely depends on what kind of vehicle it is, as they are really scales to fit the package rather than to a certain scale. It would be nice if all the cars (including mainlines) were an exact scale - would make dioramas a lot more realistic!

Enjoyed the video, TY for sharing. I bought 2 over the weekend at my 🎯, I think they were $7.99ea. Got the Mustang & Porsche. I don't plan on buying everyone of these they make, but I like them. I'd rather buy these at $8 ea than buy the 1:43 scale cars at $25 ea

Nice - and def agree! These seem a much better bang for the buck than the $24.99 premiums do. I bought the Countach and the C8 premium 1/43rd cars, but can’t bring myself to buy the others yet. It’s just a lot of money for not a lot of enjoyment

The Dimachinni reminds me of a like a rally car. Also, some DMC Delorean vibes. It's a great car and I love the white wheels on there!

The colors they chose work very well for the casting. I could see how there could be some Delorean influence on the design too.

I found my Bone crusher pull back general dollar and it was hidden on the top shelf the other ones I was not interested in but when I saw it on the top shelf I was like oh okay

The tow truck is rad - it’s definitely one of those castings I didn’t expect to get much love outside of the mainline or 5-packs, but there it is!

@@64Wheels Oh no, I'm not. I wish the actual ToysRus, and not a pop up shop in Macy's, was still here! The toy departments at Macy's have been converted into "ToysRus" sections, and surprisingly have these pull back speeders. Saw the Lancer Evo, GT Scorcher, C8R, and Alpha Pursuit there.

Mine is actually older on the side and it's plastic where you can see the skull and it has stickers it's solid top with stickers throwActually on the roof of it it has a sticker I wish I could send you a picture it's actually a fast racer pull back I need to check the Year on it

What is the material of the vehicle?

The bodies are metal and the chassis are plastic. The wheels are a very hard compound rubber

Those are not 1/43 scale, are more like 1/32 scale. The size of the wheels compared to a 1/43 car are like 1 and a half size. I have that De Tommaso Pantera and the Japanese custom Mustang.

Hot Wheels officially classifies them as 1/43rd scale, so I just call them by whatever the manufacturer calls them, ha. But the wheels/tires aren’t necessarily a good gauge for measurement scale as Hot Wheels uses over-sized wheels/tires for most of their cars. These pull back cars aren’t too far off size wise from their premium 1/43rd scale line though.
