Thanks, let me tell you that this week I bought a Sigma aps-c lens for my S5. It works perfect, until now I was trying to film at 100fps, and then I realized that the camera with aps-c lenses does not allow slow motion filming. It was my mistake for seeing many reviews from photographers and not from videographers, since none of them give a complete review of the operation, then reading the manual there I also saw that this mode does not exist with aps-c lenses ... a shame, I guess that it would be easy for them to add that feature to the camera.

Do you need to ho through each firmware update one at a time, or just go straight to the latest update if you are updatya new camera for the first time.

Just install the latest update, no need to install all the previous ones.

I'm trying to update the firmware on my S5ii just using the USB while the SD card is still in the camera but i keep getting the error "this memory card is write protected" on my pc. But my SD card isn't locked, the physical lock on the card is off so the camera writes just fine to it. For some reason i can't seem to drag and drop anything into the SD card through my pc.

When you connect your PC to a computer, make sure that you select Storage mode or data transfer.

Hi there. Thanks for your video. I just updated the body firmware to 2.7. However, I cannot update the lens firmware. It gives the same error as you mentioned: " file for firmware update cannot be found". The installed lens version is 1. I tried several versions, none of which show up. (BTW I'm not sure which lens firmware I should choose between "Wide Angle", "Standard", "Telephoto" and "Fixed Focal". Because I use different lenses but mostly a full-frame 16-28. Any chance for advice?

The lens firmware will be installed only on a specific lens model. What's the lens model you're trying to update?

@@reesaoldyear7763 Here's the link for your 2060 lens: av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/dsc/download/ff/dl/r2060.html This update method has nothing to do with Sigma lenses. To update Sigma lens firmware you need to buy a a special USB dock station and using Sigma's software update the firmware.

If you copied the correct bin file to the root directory and started the update manually, it should work.

Does it reset all your settings? After the update?

No, it shouldn't affect your camera settings. At least, all previous updates didn't. However, your camera has an option to save all settings to your SD card, which allows you to easily restore them if needed. I keep a backup of my camera settings just in case something happens, so I can quickly restore my camera functionality the way I prefer it.
