What immediately stood out to me was the HVAC controls, those are some of the best designed HVAC controls I've seen on any vehicle. The button layout is fantastic and it looks high tech and not overly designed, simple but intuitive and easy to use/understand. Also, cooled seats on a Hyundai Elantra is very surprising to see.. Hopefully that makes other automakers include it in their lower priced vehicles as well. They did a fantastic job with the interior, love it.. The exterior is another thing... Very polarizing, you either love it or hate it.
I only wish Hyundai made an Elantra Hatchback for this generation because the sedan has way too much rear overhang. An Elantra Hatchback N would've been so nice.
I’ve been using wired CarPlay in my 2017 Impreza, and I’ve never had any trouble with it. No having wireless CarPlay will never be a deal breaker for me. Great review though, Mike 👍
Thanks Sid! Yeah wireless is def a convenience, but truth be told I got a little wireless apple carplay dongle for my car about a month ago and I really like it! But you’re right, it’s not a dealbreaker by no means. I still would enjoy the car without it
I like these reviews, we need a comparison vs the K4. Or just a series of 'in house' direct comparisons for Hyundai/Kia, Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, etc.
@@ALMX5DPjust because it exists doesn’t make it modern you know. Plus newer isn’t always better. Often times the newest entry is outdated and outclassed by older rivals because those rivals executed better.
@@naveenthemachine no i dont know, and I never said newer is better so not sure what you're talking about with that either.... The very definition of "modern" is relating to the present or recent times... So my use of modern is to indicate vehicles manufactured in the present... Please do try and explain whatever it is you think your point is with that though..
@@ALMX5DPdid you read my comment above? I said styling is subjective if a car does everything else exceptionally well. If it doesn’t then the car is objectively ugly
@@ALMX5DP if a car looks ugly and doesn’t do anything else well then the car is objectively ugly. Plain and simple. If a car does so many things well from the interior to tech to comfort to driving experience etc but looks ugly then styling is subjective since you’ll forget about the exterior once you sit in and live with it
