I just bought one two days ago, preferred long range awd. I still get goosebumps when I approach the car. I haven't even setup the ambient lights yet!😂
Hi Bill. Thank you so much for watching and sharing that with us. We greatly appreciate it. Congratulations on your new Ioniq 6. With only being in it for 2 days, we know you have a lot of learning and tons of goosebumps ahead of you. LOL. We're curious to know what motivated you to purchase it.
@@SpiritedWrenchers why did I buy the Ioniq over a Tesla? I was actually planning to buy a Model Y, but I live near St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. First, the Ioniq was about the same in range and tech, but about $15k cheaper. And there are no Tesla stores, or even a single supercharger in the province. Finally, our Hyundai dealership came highly recommended by a few friends who own Tucsons, and now I feel the same...best car buying experience I have had in my life. 👍👍
Hey Matt. Thanks for watching and sharing. Happy Thanksgiving as well. We were seriously impressed by the Ioniq line. We can't wait for the Ioniq 6n to come out. If we drove more, we might be seriously eyeing one of these.
I recently got the 2020 Ioniq Electric as my old beater car died on me unexpectedly. Really wanting to get the Ioniq 6 SEL soon, seems like the perfect vehicle for me!
Hi Alex. Thanks for watching and sharing with us. We were certainly impressed with the 6. With Dana and I going in to the office more, we may end up looking at EV's sooner than we had thought. Stay safe out there!
Hi Byron, thanks for watching and commenting with this note on the mileage! I think the allowance for the driver to decide how conservative they want to be with the My Drive Mode really helps boost the mileage up. We didn't feel like we needed to charge the Ioniq at all! Really makes us wonder if we are ready for an electric daily.... Take care and stay safe!!
Hi Phoneking and county neighbor. We're in Clermont as well and agree. There is definitely a limitation of areas out there and some that are out there aren't working. Hopefully it will improve soon. Stay safe out there.
Hi Ken. Thanks for watching and sharing. We really appreciate it. It's funny that you mention that as we sort of agree. It was mentioned that Hyundai has picked up some German designers and we can see it in this car if that is the case. The front reminds of of a newer style Benz and the rear of course reminds us of a Porsche with a mini whale tail. They are definitely pushing things outside of the norm. Take care!
Hyundai dealer network is an advantage for EV owners? You are certain about that statement? Cause I am reading most of them don’t have trained technicians.
Hi Michel, thanks for watching and sharing. We really appreciate it. Believe it or not, that was actually a benefit shared by some of the owners we surveyed. There is simply more supporting dealers for Hyundai than its competitors. That's a big one for those that want the ability to have an issue checked out with greater ease and not having to drive a long distance to the nearest dealer.
This is the first time I've viewed your channel, and frankly, the way you frame a lot of this video feels manipulative and salesy. The amount of "this is another featured owners just LOVE" happening through the entire video is the first thing that set my alarm bells off. Then, talking about how good certain features are, like the map route highlighting a certain color for traffic - that is STANDARD on all vehicles with CarPlay. That is not a feature. The trunk opening - that is arguably not more convenient than putting your foot underneath it. It takes 3? 4? seconds to open by standing next to it, and 1 with a wave of your foot. Point of all this being - this does NOT feel like an unbiased review. It feels disingenuous and like you were paid to make this review (which, you probably were), and that's fair - but from a consumer standpoint, if I'm skeptical of the car because of these things I've pointed out, other people will be too, which is not good for obvious reasons. All of this being said - I've been doing a lot of research on EVs recently, and this video was one that felt the least helpful in terms of giving me an unbiased perspective on one. Not looking to shit on you or your channel - just want to point out how a lot of the language and how you position the vehicle comes off as disingenuous.
Hi Cameh. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion with us. We appreciate it. I'll first start by saying you should ask how we come up with these before making assumptions. Those shared in any of our car review videos come directly from owners. We join owners groups and specifically ask them what features they love. If current owners feel that way, it's highly probable that those looking at these as purchase options will as well. We've received a lot of positive comments based on our reviews, and if they help at least 1 person learn something new, it was a success for us. That's all we try to do is help educate others with unbiased info as it can be difficult with everything that is out there on cars these days. Oh, we aren't paid for these, so that's another false assumption. We are provided the cars from a channel sponsor to do reviews as we see fit. I wish we did get paid for them. Anyway, we appreciate you stopping by, and we wish you the best.
Lol. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion, DA3. We weren't so sure on the look at first, but it grew on us. Considering the sales of these, there are many people who love it. Stay safe out there.
