While January has been jam packed at home, the garden has been a little quiet this last month. Even so I have still been enjoying garden fresh produce including strawberries, onions, herbs, lettuce, and some mandarins! I know things are a bit slow right now but I'm looking forward to seeing the fruit trees burst with life and getting to harvest the garlic later this year.
We'll just have to wait and see what getting a garden started during my 3rd and 4th trimester looks like but all I know is that I WILL have a garden this year and that brings me so much joy. I hope you all are having a wonderful start to 2024. Do you have anything fun planned for this year? I would love to hear it!

Hi Alana! Katie here. Congratulations with your garden helper #2!!! I watched your video from about a year ago where you have installed Vego garden beds. I am in process of moving right now and have been looking at different options for my new place. Are those holding up pretty well for you? I also noticed on their web site for color it says "pearl white" but it seems like they are more creamy color and not white, is that right or is that only on the screen?

Hi Katie, thanks for watching! The beds have held up really well for me! I added extra support braces for stability just to be sure when I first set them up. And yes, I would say the pearl white is more of a cream/ivory than a pure white. That being said, I'm really glad they aren't pure white because when the sun hits them it can be quite blinding!

Congrats on your new bundle of joy. I'm excited for 2023 gardening for us. For some reason, my mandarin tree have never given me fruit. I hope I get even 3 fruits this year. Thanks for the tour!

Thank you! I know some years they just don’t do as well. This tree is tiny and it gave me 9 mandarins last year and just 3 this year. I’m hoping next growing season will bring us both a lot more!!
