I love EVERYTHING about this model! It checks every single box I have. National park allowable, counters forever and big fridge combined make home comfort. All the outside amenities, thick insulation……..
Why don't the manufacturers that do this floor plan make a dinette where the Murphy bed is instead of a sofa? I want the theater seats in the slide, but would love a dinette where the Murphy bed is.
Yes, I agree. With the two nice recliners in the slide, the Murphy bed could be coming down over a dinette, exactly like Outdoors RV does in their 19MKS trailers, which are also 4 season capable with their excellent insulation package. This seems like a less expensive option to that lovely little trailer, with an even bigger kitchen countertop than what that has. Both are very nice looking trailers! My only concern with the Jayco is the bad after sales support compared to Outdoors RV.
Why is his voice only coming through on the right audio channel? I often listen with just a single earbud and there's no voice audio on the left channel.
That kitchen is wild, especially considering how lightweight and small it is. For a couple who loves cooking together or maybe a single chef? Really great design.
I absolutely love it!!! I live in mine as even an apartment got to expensive. I love the refrigerator, the bathroom is perfect, the bed is a dream, even for older people. so easy to make up. and the kitchen is a dream.
For all those wishing there was a 60s era boxy dinette or uncomfortable flip couch, every manufacturer out there has multiple floorplans with those. This floorplan is for a couple or solo traveler , not a family of 4-6. For that, you can get a bunk model with a dinette and enjoy that sitting on a wood box feel.
Love this floor plan! Swap out theatre seating for trifold sleeper sofa for 2 more people and you have a winner. Only other thing I see is the lack of storage on both sides of the bed. Grand design does a much better job of incorporating such side storage. Fix that and it’s a real beauty 😊
IMO. Great floor plan. Great kitchen. I want toe kicks under all counters. Bathroom sink faucet taller. Larger (30) propane tanks. Off road tires. 2 spare tires (at least an option).
That is the Best looking and right size for my wife and I , she will love the kitchen that she loves to cook and bake . I love the spacious floor plan. I am looking for that size to live in and to go to NC to escape the Hot , Humid 10 months of the year in FLORI- Dhh .
Jayco, please option a dinette in the slide. Or, swap out the drawers in far left side of the kitchen for an open space for stools (keep the counter). Or, place a flip down small counter where the big mirror is next to the slide and a couple stools. More and more people need a good work space for a laptop. Also, copy some of what Rockwood is doing, like the upgraded stable step, slam latches with magnets, and a hitch receiver on the back, and I think this unit becomes a best seller. I'd buy this over similar Alta, Rockwood, and GD rigs because it's a perfect length and weight. Also, props on the rims, that matters. I want my rig to look the part inside and out. Jayco offers the best rims IMO. This is a killer rig.
I agree with the dinette, but I would have put it under the Murphy, so I can keep the more comfy chairs in the slide out with the better position from the TV. A dinette that collapses would leave space for storing bikes inside when traveling or securing the campsite. And the collapsable dinette would serve double purpose since it could be removed to the outside picnic area.
THIS is a real possibility for us. We really want the large refrigerator and as a couples only, its just right. I really have no clue what else you can do with the bed other than a murphy set up, but that is the only thing I really dont care for. But when you only have a specific foot print to work with.. you do what you must.
Mike, as usual, you give a very good presentation. Will Jayco put in a dinette instead of the recliners? Don't like having to eat on the small swivel platform and no back support. How many cu ft of storage is there up front. Is there a battery cutoff switch? Thank you Art
Outstanding kitchen layout 🔥❤️💯 shower curtain/door lol I like it Prefer Glass always!!❤️💋this is my mostest favorite layout yet !!💯🔥💋 can't say enough about it I've been shopping for 3 years 😁. Ik I'm planning ahead!! Luv this Feather Lite 19MRK AMAZING 🤩 Everything inside and out
I wonder how much more weight this unit would be if we added a glass shower door? Not that I would. And other feathers people want. At 4,795 lbs. I am timid since my current little Winnie is so much less.
Love this model!!!! Prefer a different shower door, and possibly the option of one more sleep spot, but that kitchen and the room makes a girl wanna say yes to this one!
QUESTION Mike: you said in the video "NEW for 2024, the floor is also 2" vacuum bonded, just like the walls." I own a 2022 Jay Feather and my product brochure tells me I have "2 in. vacuum-bonded floor with 2 lb. foam insulation." What has changed in the vacuum bonding process or components for 2024 vs. 2022?
We have been looking for small RV for little while, been to shows and camper lots etc. so far our favorite is Jayco. We love this one as it’s perfect for my husband and I Going to a show at the end of February 2024 will probably drive away with this bad boy. Love the double sink and large kitchen counter
I like it a lot. A question. What about a second bed to pull out if wanted, what about where those two chairs are? Or another idea, would a free standing hammock fit in there with the murphy bed open? Or might the walls in key places be reinforced or be able to be reinforced, so as to screw in hooks for a hammock to be hung as an option if guests stay? And lastly, with the murphy bed down, is the floor wide and long enough to say lay a twin xl mattress pad or latex foam mattress to be unrolled and slept on? Thanks. As for that murphy bed, a regular queen size I think, that looks perfect; I could leave it out if it's just me, or put it up if friends are visiting for more chairs to use.
I love this! But I wish it was a full on 4 season, including in the coldest winters and the hottest summers. You say it's close, but is there something like this, this size and as nice as this, but is a full on 4 season? Not that I'd necessarily need it in the winters, most probably don't, but it would be nice to have that option. Thanks.
I know this is an old video now, but I do wonder if people miss the dinette table or if the counter space makes up for it. Does the TV come with a DVD player?
Great looking camper. Not a fan of the slide outs though. Always trouble with them. If they have something like this without slide outs then that's the one for me.
What is the interior width of that slide where the two chairs are? I'm wondering what size sofa could fit in there? Closet and drawer space for clothes? Did I miss some of that?
I had not heard of the climate shield. Is Jayco doing that on their micros as well? I keep looking at the 199 mbs. I wish it was dual axle and this length. This is the perfect length. Just wish it slept more people.
Love this trailer, under 25 feet. Like the light wood interior. Too much dark wood makes me feel I'm sitting in a cave on a long raining day. Although I plan on wallpapering the walls. Love the food prep area. I think this sets the bar up high, to compete with others. I am currently on my 5th season (July 9, 2024) with a little Winnebago as a first RV, I'm getting tired of the smallness. I need to upgrade. Love the nightlight. I read in bed before turning in. I like to be able to walk around with the bed down. Will the bonk-out close with the bed down? Probably not. That's a problem but not a deal breaker, I don't think. Maybe. Having the RV fully accessible with the bonk-out IN, is a great feature. Not a fan of the shower curtain....acts wonky. The husband will laugh at it, as he rips it out to replace with Lord know what. Whatever. Thanks for an in depth video.
It is very nice and functional. I have wondered why there are not more Murphy Beds in RVs. It is a great idea. Fine invention. There's only 2 things to reasonably do in bed, and once they are done? Flip that joker up and outta the way! Lets you use that space far better. What manufacturing company makes the speakers?
Im sold! I love the counter space. My biggest beef. I am a lone camper, so the bed is prefect. I even like the shower curtain, although I've never used 1. I will be trading my 2022 Bh170 in!
I chuckle reading everyone’s “requests@. You’re not buying a house. A few options maybe but good lord, this is supposed to be for travel/camping. I camped in a pop up just so I could cook for my child that had several severe food allergies!
Manufacturers need to cut the number in half of units with outside showers.Mine froze up and busted in December of 22. Just something I don't need. Its BS.Tell kids to leave their shoes outside.
Oops, forgot the Murphy 💯❤️bed the new clicky colored bed 😻💡lights/colored & those back lit stove knobs the fridge is off the chain lovely 🤩💋🐾🐾🐾 bathroom werks to lol this is truly Awesomeness
I really like this camper. Did he mention how huge the countertop was. Lol I’m not a fan of the Murphy beds but this one seems to really be easy to put up and down. Did he mention how huge the counter top was. If not I will it comes with a huge countertop. You can even have one of your kids sleep on it because it’s huge. Lol. Overall I really like this and I’ve been thinking about trading my suv and teardrop camper in for a new truck and camper to live in. It looks like it would do me just fine but video’s and pictures can be misleading. So will have to go in person and look at them.
You give a great tour, cover lots. We just saw this model at recent RV show. Impressed. Your right it doesn’t shake when walking inside. We noticed this right off. Not wild about a Murphy Bed, its not a residential Queen for those wondering. We’d make it permanent. Yes toggle switches👍. Tks
Mike, another great video! We love this one but need those recliners to transition into a bed! Is that possible? Also we’re looking for bunk beds as well in the 2024 ( with that same chef kitchen!) …??
I love everything but the murphy bed. I anticipate having to add stuff to make it comfortable. But if theres no room for toppers you are stuck with a back breaking death mat.😢😢😢
Too bad they can’t make a Murphy Bed with a disappearing dinette. We don’t need two sofas but we enjoy playing games and a dinette and theater seating would be nice.
This is the same floor plan our 2022 Keystone Hideout is - we love the kitchen and the Murphy bed. Removed the dinette and put a sofa in, the bathroom. Is tight though
@@RoastPorkandGreens it's been great.. holding up well.. any specific concerns? The layout is open and feels like a small apartment. The reclining chairs actually recline back far enough where it is comfortable to use for sleeping as well... (they go back like regular recliner for seating, but there is another position that goes back much more after that.) I am adding an extra battery up front on the trailer frame and eventually I'll add the extra solar panel on the roof.
Almost every one that makes this model has the same issue. The space around the toilet is not really sufficient. They need to cut the doorway back farther to expose the toilet more which would allow one to maneuver their legs enough to make the toilet useable. Deal breaker in an otherwise great floorplan.
Don't like the shower door or the plastic toilet. Also don't like the bed showing at the top of the murphy bed when closed. I do like the lay out though.
I'm just not sold on the Murphy bed. I hate the look of the mattress showing at the top. It would actually look better to me to just leave the bed down.
Agree! I tried to add up everything microwave, fridge, sink, bed, bathroom, burners and table. Those cost way less than 10K. They are selling this for 70K? So the chassis without a motor cost 60K+ equivalent to a nice luxury Cadillac 😂
My wife and I are seriously considering this model, but wondering if this is a viable option, considering our current tow vehicle would be a Toyota forerunner?
I have a tacoma V6 and it is pretty much at the limit of what it can do with this trailer. technically possible? yes. recommended? no. I'll be upgrading the truck soon.
