I was about to buy one as the Gladiator 4Xe was supposed to be out this year. It was pushed back and I wanted to sell my Tacoma in that sweet sale period we were in before the new ones came out. Because of Jeep holding it back I ordered a new Land Cruiser. So no plug in for my truck, and I was looking forward to it. Our experience with my wife’s PHEV Outlander has been fantastic. We normally get 3000+ km on a tank of gas because of the ability to plug in. “Fudds” have to get around electric being forced upon them and realize that it does have its place. Electric drive vehicles are nicer to drive because of smoothness of the pedal input, diesel level torque and hopefully some saved money on fuel. And the cost of fuel isn’t getting cheaper…..

Great job par usual Justin...I wondered about the leds on the Wranglers....but that price!.....gulp😢

Also....I drive some kms into town every morning very early so would invest in additional lighting like ditch ....I'm sure THAT would greater the power drain....like you stated Justin in the winter especially 😊

I see a lot of them with light bars installed up this way, though those aren't technically allowed on public roads if I recall. And on battery drain, I'm not sure-- fun fact: the 12 volt battery (which runs the heater and your auxiliary lighting etc) is recharged by the bigger battery (not an alternator), but it can be recharged whether the engine is running or not, and presumably, as you're plugged in too. Big battery gets all of the power, sends the 12 volt battery what it needs!
