I appreciate these videos so much! On the subject of lights, I have a JL with the halogen headlight package, do you have any suggestions for swapping the fender lights out for LED ones? Suppliers?
One thing i wish you commented on is the headlight aiming after install...its terribly difficult with how little room there is behind the DD Elite headlights. You basically have to repeatedly install and remove each light between adjustments because of the poor adjustment screw location on the back of the headlight. I feel like all the youtubers that get their lights gifted to them always skim past this detail... I'd personally like to hear your honest opinion on it.
Those tail lights are sick. I'd like to see them make some for the Gladiator. I had the Oracle ones for a year and they corroded to sh!t and stopped working. Not willing to pay for crap products from them again.
Has anyone compared side by side the Diode Dynamics elite max to the Alpharex Nova? I like both styles. But I’m hung up because I haven’t seen them in person.
I’m happy with my current 2021 Willys LED headlights. But the taillights… I may need those!! So I’m a bit confused, you mentioned on the taillights, the extra plug for blind spot and then being able to add to Ryan’s Jeep via Tazer…? You can do that?? My jeep currently does NOT have blind spot and it’s one thing I wished did… so you’re saying I can add that with those lights and Tazer???
I was looking forward to see the difference on a dark dark road, between a stock halogen and the new DD LED’s you installed. I have a 2024 Gladiator with halogen headlights, but LED taillights with the radar sensors
I clicked on your amazon link to the rear lights and it seems the rear can have sequential amber/yellow blinkers. Didn't you guys considered doing it? I would love to see how to fish the turn signal from the front to the rear. Thanks!
Great channel, you guys are the ultimate professionals. No BS, just good Jeep stuff with great advise and products. So tired of all the clickbait and over the top channels. Lost my life partner and navigator this summer, I’m sure she’s looking down from above and smiling while I research and upgrade our 21 JL 2 door this winter. Thanks for being real and all the help!
I went with these headlights based on your original install video (which was extremely helpful btw, thanks!) and I couldn't be happier with them. Only complaint is that my halogen fender lights look out of place now. Selfishly, one thing I'd love to see on a future video is an install of the new AAL/Diode Dynamics fender chop bracket that's coming out, and maybe a corresponding video showing what it takes to get the factory LED fender lights swapped over to the 2-door.
I love the factory LED package on my JLUR. the Front head lights and turn signals are perfect brightness. but the Tail lights not so much, so I went with the Oracle flush mount tail lights, excellent brightness and slim look. the Minus part on getting the factory LED package is that the Computer is programed for the Factory LED Only and when you switch to an after market LED you will get Error Codes. the Plus part of Not getting the factory LED package is that the computer isn't programmed for LED and you will Not get the Error Codes when using LED.
@@reneemeans3507 I have the factory LED package, so from the factory my onboard computer was programed to monitor the LED circuitry. When I changed the Rear Tail Lights to Flush Mount Oracle LED, the computer doesn't read the same LED circuitry, so when I start the engine and only when I start the engine, the dashboard does its cycle and says Rear Tail Lights not working, then goes back to showing my normal preset tire pressure screen. Halogen Lights are Incandescent with Halogen Gas, so there is No Electronic Circuitry to monitor, just a simple On and Off. But the aftermarket LED you get will come with a Resistor for You to add so you do not get the Flicker Rate on turn signal because of the electrical voltage change between Halogen and LED. They will say that in the instructions.
Vehicle is shaping up nicely. I’m sure there are some rock rails on your list. One of the first thing I put on mine. Looks much better and provides some off road protection. Nice video thanks.
WOW!! Those headlights (like yours) are incredible… every video I watch if stuff you recommend my build list keeps getting longer and more expensive… lol Those do look really good!! Loving this build series, keep up the incredible work!! 👍
Brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler owner...loving it. Question. I am trying to customize my LED Factory Lights to a smoked out option. Everything on the markets states they won't fit a 2024 Jeep with current LED package. Is there anything out there that will work for me? Have an Anvil color jeep and want to get rid of the red color. Thanks!
Great videos! Followed you for quite some time when you were with CJ.. Your videos were always very helpful. Do the Form tail lights need any form of resistors? My Willys has LED headlights/fogs but halogen tails. I always liked diode dynamics products.
Yeah at this point I regret paying for the OEM LED light package..... because I've since replaced them all. My only savings grace is the resale on the OEM stuff
wow. looks very nice. question, if we didn't want to use the headlights as an additional blinker, then we don't have to connect it, right? and still retain the lighted halo ring?
I myself have a 2024 (4xE). I just checked under my hood, and on the driver's side i cannot see the harness for the fender lights, like installation videos show. Is there much of a difference for installation from a 23 model?
@@DIRTROADCRED when wheeling technical trails what is your strong point a part from your spotter. Is it the lift with big tyres, the flexibility of the jeep, lockers etc..?
Had to get a fix for them since the base sport couldn’t handle the LED functionality at first ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6zrLhIVBMC4.html
Those look nice. I recently replaced the halogen candles on my grill with KC Gravity Pro. Based on your videos, Im looking to get some 3" Diode Dynamics fog lights if they will fit my Poison Spyder bumper. Im also gonna upgrade all the side marker lights and rear turn signal bulbs with the Diode Dynamics LED bulbs.
I know for a fact that LEDs split the light in mist, fog and rain. And possibly the same thing will happen when there is sleet and snow. Powerful Halogens are far more functional. And yellow halogen fog lamps as an additional accessory.
Thanks for this video. I have been looking for taillights and this brand looks awesome. I will be purchasing them soon. I am new to the Jeep family. Just purchased a 2024 Willys. Your videos are very good and helpful. Thanks
My JL is a 2018 and it came with the led light package the right rear turn signal just failed so I called the dealer and almost had heart failure at 805 dollars for one tail light I just wanted to let future jeep buyers to know this
Those taillights look EXACTLY like a set of "Quake"'s that I got a few years ago. Cracked one on the trail... factory replacement was hopelessly backordered. That said, the Diode's look like the have a better connector and wiring... but the housing, infinity mirror, and startup sequence are 100% the same as the Quakes.
Got a 2024 Willys on order, and those taillights look like winners. Been trying to find a comparable one to the JW Speaker brightness I have in the JK. Thanks DRC!
Ryan’s gonna need his own channel soon. Talk about membership having its privileges Time to get that anvil muddy and do a stock comparison before you build it up.
@DIRTROADCRED Forgotten the model years, my first Cherokee had rear red turn signals. Then red/yellow LED rear turn signals were added to a refresh. Practically ran to the dealership to get my hands on that new refresh with rear LED yellow turn signals. Yes, bought that new Cherokee to get its yellow LED rear turn signals, really.
