The hierarchy plot was average..but the leading actress was a big disappointment among others...full expressionless with zero chemistry with the actors.
But if you actually heard what she said in ep3 i think, she was taught by her dad at an early age that she should conceal her emotions, so maybe thats how she interpreted her character
Not only emotions,it was also about her approach towards other people,it was so blank and pointless...there are many ways to portray your emotions rather than acting like a clueless puppet.
@@loombandz6722 well she could have portrayed that better where people could tell shes concealing her emotion but she didnt shes not the first actress to potray this type of character.
Hierarchy is on point. Not one character is likeable lol When the FL begged the MC to save the antagonist knowing what he felt for her and the men's history was just outrageous. Like the audacity? And of course he bent over backwards to do as she asked. Like wtf?
Wouldn't mind that but the antagonist was a garbage guy and the reasoning made no sense. He had zero redeeming qualities, the actor had no charisma in the role. FL made no sense at all. Really bad writing.
yeah that was so confusing to her past bf with whom she reconciles says that she can live without him on the ogther hand in the ending scene when kang ha asked her about whether she has feelings for him she says yes she has feelings for him that she was hiding
Here is the summary: 00:11 Wedding impossible 01:43 The Bequeathed 03:14 Captivating the King 04:06 Good Bye Earth 05:38 Hierarchy 06:40 The impossible heir 07:52 Chicken Nugget Thanks
“Hierarchy” was actually the worst out of these. It had the perfect cast, the perfect set up AND Elite as the blueprint. I don’t know how they messed that up so badly “The Impossible Heir” was just as bad too, good but wasted cast.
Hierarchy is promising in initial episodes but in the end it's total messed up. I don't know why k drama directors want to central character in not white or black light but the most dark greyish character where you clearly don't want to sympathise with the main leads because they are indeed guilty and which took their side have dumb reasons like female lead of hierarchy. So unsatisfied, and drama which have disgusting ending people forget there few good things also.
I enjoyed it as well. Sad as it shows some rich kids don’t have a close family life just expectations to succeed. No grounding or taught how to b have x
Hierarchy s2 better be better, cause it was so nice in the first 2 eps then it went so bad, how do you go from getting revenge to falling in love, the actors we okay but the storyline was absolute trash. If they had money to get feraris on set, they better get a new scriptwriter
Lonely island but I thought Queen of Tears a little over rated. The story line of the auntie and sister in law were interesting and wish they got more screen time. The show fine. But don’t get the hype.
Agree, 2 things that bugged me with Queen of Tears, 1) all the supporting cast were annoying and 2) lack reality, for example, when the main female lead had brain surgery, they need to make her look like she is a patient but instead she still had full head of well groomed hair and makeup. Not even close to Crash Landing on You.
No question, Queen of tears is overhyped. However having said that I think it is a great show. It still belongs on the upper echelon of the best K-Drama. Let me tell you one that is overrated and overhyped, My demon. It started crazy strong and just went downhill episode after episode.
I was thinking wow it’s nearly July & there hasn’t been a drama that’s caught my eye. I watched Hierachy & it’s truly a rich kid & “revenge” I’m still pissed about the ending, there is no reason for a season 2. Netflix’s Kdramas in 2024 have not been hitting 😮💨
@@prettygirlpandora Huh?? A shop for killer Death’s game not necessarily 2024. Parasite: the grey A killers paradox Queen of tears Blood free It’s bangers after bangers. But I do think since there were too many flops, most of the good ones were overshadowed by the bad ones. Not necessarily Netflix but there were great ones from 2024.
I disliked hierarchy for the rich bully ml and fl and their selfish actions, but then going online and seeing ppl love and defend the couple and the bully ml made me hate it more. Also no hate but the actor playing the bully ml had like one facial expression
Saying this when Ri-an was the character who showed the most variety and emotion amongst all the characters, with the joyful flashbacks with the fl or the tragedy of his unborn baby for example...
In my opinion ''The wedding impossible'' and ''The impossible heir* weren't bad. I like the story line way more than the ''Doctor slump''. It should've been included instead of these two. It had a boring storyline according to me it could've been ended in the ep 12 itself.
hierarchy had the potential and budget but my god, I cant even tell you what went wrong because there's so many things to pinpoint, it started off strong and then bam!, it went downhill. Revenge nah it ain't even like that, BEWARE!
People are going to crucify me for saying this but imo Netflix original kdramas are disappointing, only 1-2 out of 10 makes to the great list otherwise they are pretty average. They always reaches top 10 on Netflix but that doesn't mean they are great. I've been noticing this for more than 2 years especially after Squid Game release
for sure. i think the dramas that come out on hulu/disney plus are WAY better but don't the recognition and awards they deserve. i even think some of the netflix dramas that don't get big promotions are good too.
@@diorkungeLMAO THE IRONY!!! Beyond evil on disney+ is the opposite, won best tv drama in baeksang awards in 2021, but the plot was so underwhelming, even the ratings in SK were so low
Didnt even finish heirarchy.. couldn't stand the whitewashing of their evils deeds and bullying without any accountability...how the heck the two ended up together
Captivating the King had a problem that I see that happens often with leads, it is when their acting skills are not on the same level and that shadows one of the leads... Jo Jung-suk 's acting is so good that at first I was hooked on the drama because of him but unfortunately, Shin Se-kyung doesn't portray her emotions in the same level and many times all I can see are her puppy eyes and nothing more is coming out from her... Because of this drama I ended up watching more dramas from Him.
I've seen her do better in other shows. I think part of the problem is the thankless script she was given and her horrible costume. They failed to develop her character into more than a superficial foil for the male protagonist so naturally that is how she came off to the audience.
I want to point out that he was never the male lead in Wedding Impossible. He was a main character and should have had an equal storyline to his best friend and brother, but they chickened out and never developed his character. I was good until episode 8 or 9 and then I realized that it wasn't going to deliver on certain things and the characterization of the 3 leads was derailing big time.
Queen of tears, very very average, way too many fillers and unecessary scenes, its ok for me, but the hype is way too much, extracurricular is still the best for me
@@robbie007 I disagree. One of the things I appreciate about Kim Ji Won is that she doesn't allow herself to by typecast. Not only were her roles in series like My Liberation Notes, Fight for My Way, and Love Struck in the City very different from QoH (and one another), but she excelled in all of them. I thought she was one of the best things about QoH. She pretty much carried the show.
I happened to watch Boys Over Flowers before Hierarchy. Honestly Very similar premise but more current and Hierarchy's storyline was just too dark from beginning to end.
I actually enjoyed Captivating The King. And Shin Se Kyung's acting, I thought, was fine for that character. Although the costume department and makeup could have been better, her portrayal of an emotionally buttoned-up character was good. I think people who complain that she should have been more emotionally demonstrative maybe had expectations of the character that weren't justified. Imo, Shin Se Kyung was just fine.
Yep chicken nugget was dull, don't get me started on Doona, Frankly speaking, Once upon a small town, Behind your touch and The interest of love, to name a few🥱🤓.
Wedding impossible was ironically, impossible for me to get into from the very start. The lore was damn confusing at first and I didn’t like it. I tried to understand it from the start like the synopsis mentioned, but I just couldn’t.
Ya'll are crazy!! Hiearchy isn't the WORST. The vibe, ost, and they acting were on point! But i do agree, the plot could be SOOOO much better!! Y'all dont have to hate the drama if u dont like it. 🙄
Wedding impossible actually quite popular in Korea. That also made Moon Sangmin brand reputation increase to second place after Kim Soo Hyun. Sooooooo.... Maybe it is Flop internationally only?
Same. I don't think it should be on this list of flops considering it is more like marmite and had it not been review bombed, it would have ended up with a pretty average rating (not high but not low).
MY UNPOPULAR OPINION: YOU FORGOT "HIGH SCHOOL: RETURN OF THE GANGSTER" BECAUSE EVERY K-DRAMA ADAPTATION HAS IT'S WASTED POTENTIAL THAT RUINED BY A HOMOPHOBIC PRODUCTION COMPANY & IT WAS BASED ON THE ONGOING BL WEBTOON "A GANGSTER BECAME HIGH SCHOOLER"... I HOPE IT DESERVES A PROPER NETFLIX K-MOVIE ADAPTATION, ASAP! 🇰🇷👨❤️👨🏳️🌈💖🎞️🎬🎥🙏
Chicken Nugget was not totally flop. Maybe because of the low rating given by Saudi Arabian fans some scenes disparaged royal families they rate 1⭐. Still good ranked 10th place in Netflix Top 10 Global (non-English category).👌👌👌😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I thought it sounded like silly and nonsensical premise, but hearing about this Saudi royal diss kind of makes me want to see it. Also, Kim Yoo-jung is in it, and she is just cute enough to watch in even a drama of questionable quality. I mean, I almost made it through My Demon just because of her.
I really enjoyed Chicken Nugget and was surprised that people disliked it. It was fast-paced, and the physical humour was creative. Maybe not to everyone's taste but by no means a bad show.
Yes, In hierarchy, the characters changed drastically, I couldn't tell if it was character development or whatever, the story plot changed as if the writer had given up on the story, the bullies suddenly turned into good guys after all the violence. Chicken Nugget or whatever it's name was, I couldn't watch it more than 20 minutes, literally, because an initial or first ep is supposed to be interesting but it was too much boring.
I didn't expect much from captivating the king and The wedding impossible cause after watching first 3 eps already know story how its going to end. I enjoyed wedding impossible. Captivating the king not much interesting cause i had already watched many gender bender drama. Like sungkyun scandal, you're beautiful, love in moonlight, king's affection and many historical scholar cdramas. I wasted my time watching Hierarchy. I thought its going to be Korean Elite version.
I thought Hierarchy was pretty decent in my opinion but it felt like a lot of plot points were so forced, I think a good example of that is Jae-I staying in a relationship with Ri-An (maybe it also comes into play those two actors just didn’t have much chemistry together compared to Jae-I and Kang Ha) it just felt very forced in my opinion.
I did finished bequeathed but my main complain is that the FL was just so helpless hahaha halfway with goodbye earth, sad that it starred my faves ahn eun Jin and yoo ah in
i already love schemes and power struggles so i actually liked Captivating the King, i thought the villain was one of the best for costume dramas this year (great ost too, especially TAEIL - Wave). and i loved seeing all the rich shiny things but Hierarchy definitely left me feeling unsatisfied...i wanted the REVENGE.
Wedding Impossible viewership ratings was around 4 percent which is very Good for Monday Tuesday drama Captivating the king viewership 7 percent Hierarchy biggest korean drama of Netflix after Parasite the grey which is very good for young actor
I agree that all of these were disappointments. I couldn't even finish several of them. But Captivating the King did have some good mixed in with the bad and at least I was able to finish it.
When I watched Hierarchy, I liked the first couple of revenge driven episodes but wtf he just forgets that these people killed his brother and falls in love with the enemy and the he's so head over heels for her for no reason at all. That show pissed me off, it was the worse drama I've ever watched. 😤
over all comments seems like people are tired of Kdrama troupe - revenge, murder and bad rich people vs nice poor people. am I wrong? why can't there be nice rich people fighting bad rich people? lol
tried Bequeathed, dropped out, Captivating just sh…te, sorry, boring and why bother, agree with Hierarchy, same same, sick of high-school dramas, and; WTF Chicken Nugget? most pointless of pointless, the only funny part the tickets for those royals….
Hierarchy legit just ruined my amazing streak of good kdramas in 2024. I'm SO glad that I'm not alone when I say that I wasted my time watching Hierarchy and I just felt the need to just finish it for the sake of finishing it. The dialogue was very poorly written, the storyline didn't make sense for one bit, the ending was so unsatisfying, the actors delivered the dialogues poorly, and Kim Rian's acting was EXTREMELY cringe that I always have the need to roll my eyes whenever he says something or whenever he hugs Jaei with his left hand on her head. 😂 I only loved Chaemin's acting and that was it. To those who are curious, DON'T WATCH IT! It's definitely NOT A ROMANCE KDRAMA!
In real life, the past is just the past. It was strange when she started to like the feeling of comfort for a new man but instead went back to protecting her ex-boyfriend on the grounds that she had once conceived a child from her ex and miscarried. If the child is born and still alive it makes sense, but she has had a miscarriage at a young gestational age and their status is still limited to dating and has broken up. It really doesn't make sense, especially when she finds out that her ex is the leader of the bullying at school, even though she has met a new man who is very nice and has enjoyed kissing her and even feeling comfortable with her. TRULY. The creator of the HIERARCHY Story seems to have a silly thought. Even the impotent HEIR has a better storyline than Hierarchy, it still makes sense even though the scene of killing relatives for the sake of the position is indeed a bit cruel. At least the ending still makes sense, a businessman who entrusts his company to the right person not only because of nepotis.on.
7:28 expressionless. like, she doesn't want to make believable expressions because she doesn't want furrows and wrinkles. if you love looking pretty more than you love acting, don't be an actor. just be a skincare influencer or something. don't ruin movies and shows with your lack of dedication and passion for the craft.
Hierarchy is Elite but make it korean …all characters made me mad and the plot twist which revealed the murderer was not shocking at all. I was confused by the ending 😭
The cinematography of Hierarchy was great, it just got dumber and dumber after you find out she actually loved her ex boyfriend which made no sense in relation to anything. Eventually, I had no clue what I was watching. Nothing made sense. It was like someone was trying to trick me into being on the side of the most bland nonsensical and nasty characters. Ji Hye-won carried the whole drama.
I only watch Hierarchy because of Chaemin. I support him as Le sserafim Eunchae’s music bank’s Mc partner. But then I give up because I hate this type of reckless teens socializing genre😑
I hated Bequeathed 😒 I loved Captivating the King except that she didn’t look anything like a man I don’t even remember goodbye earth, so boring 😂 Have t started hierarchy, guess I won’t be watching 😂 I didn’t like the impossible heir I don’t even think I finished it
Hierarchy is really not worth the hype. I couldn’t bear it after ep. 6. My Demon was one that I really had high hope for. It started out great and I enjoyed it but tbh The only interesting thing about it was the cast. Captivating the King. 🤦🏻🤦🏻 Impossible Hier. What do I say. If you want to raise your blood pressure watch this. The intention of this show is to make people frustrated and it did a great job at that. So I think it’s not necessarily a bad show. Instead save your time and Go watch Parasite: the grey The 8 show Queen of tears (probably everyone already did) A shop for killer Death game. A killer’s paradox. I think A shop for killer was the best release of 2024 yet. Dare I say it’s a must watch and as much as I love Queen of tears, better than Queen of tears. A shop for killer Queen of tears Death’s game Parasite The 8 show is my top 5.
YOO AH IN is talented actor in Korean.Goodbye Earth a lot of people disappointed is because of director cut too much of YOO AH IN scenes.I think Lee Byun Hun and YOO AH IN have more best actor awards trophy. YOO AH IN is the only one win 2 baeksang art awards and 2 Blue dragon awards not the age of 40.
Captivating king so so frustrated drama but almost trash drama is hierarchy of netflix, and good bye earth really disappointing, and last Impossible hier so wasted talented actors like choi jee jin i mean in drama they deserved more screen time among the lead but story around useless lead characters storyline so poor
Wow was I the only one who liked Hierarchy? 😂 it wasn’t AMAZING sure, but it wasn’t terrible. The plot wasn’t given enough episodes to play out. The characters were pretty typical but you go in expecting that. There were some great points to it though. I know everyone wanted the main girl with the new male lead but it just made sense for her to be with the other guy in the end, it WAS always him from the start. She did everything for his sake. And to be honest the male lead deserves someone better 🤷♀️ not to mention he should have always been focused on his goal not her tbh The relationship between the two girls was actually really refreshing given the cliché route I think most people were expecting. They really did seem like true friends in the end It just felt too short which was the main disappointment for me but I still enjoyed it
Hawrang, Mr queen, the crowned clown, the three musketeers, jumong, cafe minamdang, true bety, slave hunters, the king in love, Gu family book, empress ki Faith Love In the moon light The six flying dragons Haechi My sassy girl Sea god Iron king Flower in prison Ijimae Scholar who walks at night The night watchman The great deer Yi bang won My country Grand prince Seven days queen Blood of revenge
i enjoyed hierarchy but only because it was so unrealistic and dumb that it was entertaining to see how stupid the characters would act next lmfaooo- anyways stan woojin-hera!
Among all these ..the only one i want to watch is CAPTIVATING THE KING..but the mixed reviews are putting me off.. QUEEN OF TEARS holds no interest for me to even start .. I watched DR SLUMP..i love PHS ..so i was interested..he was great FL did a much better job here than others....but while it was a great story ..they could have edited it to shorten it and it would have been Amazing .. The last good k-drama i saw was MOVING
Those dramas mentioned are indeed trash... I've started it all but dropped it from ep2-4 since it's too boring. Welp, special mention to the "Chicken nugget" which is the only one I've finished. It is like some sort of a weird kiddy show... Hahaha! I don't really like it but i don't hate it either... I enjoyed the show quite a bit though cause it's a 'lil funny but cringe at the same time. 😅
This RU-vidr Miss-K-Drama gave misleading information. In fact Hierarchy received a strong reviews and didnt flop. Hierarchy top in the World. It was a twisted story and a good unpredictable ending. The 2024 K-drama Hierarchy has ranked highly on Netflix's global top 10 lists for non-English TV shows: June 7, 2024: Within three days of its premiere, Hierarchy was ranked second globally. June 10-16, 2024: Hierarchy topped the global top 10 (non-English) category, beating out other popular series like The Atypical Family and Queen of Tears
Hierarchy could be a hit if the writers didn't mess up the plot. It could be the IT drama of 2024 with the promising cast and high budget. This drama is said to be about revenge but where is revenge?! Not every drama needs a love line. I couldn't take the female lead seriously like she is so poorly written.
I would say hierarchy wasn't too bad and I rather enjoyed watching it. However, the characters were quite disappointing. The personality and story of the female lead would've been better off if it was more suspenseful. The revenge could've been done in a more thrilling way. The story just got too basic and rapid by the end.
