New rider here and I can say the W800 is a great first bike option. I have 5000km on it so far and love it. One thing you did not mention is the 360° firing order on the W which will give you peg, grip and seat vibrations from 2500rpm and above, nothing too off putting but potential new owners should be aware of it. One oddity is that the Asian market W800 has 4 ways and for whatever reason the NA offerings do not. It’s an extra layer of safety that Kawasaki NA should offer.
My God those bikes are beautiful. I mean I'm not even into retro or modern-retro styling, generally speaking, but *man* I'll make an exception for these bikes. Incredible!
