Review of my 2024 Kubota SVL 75-3! Did a lot of homework before making the decision to pull the trigger on the ‪@Kubotatractorcorp‬. I give my insight on why that’s where I landed. Also how a dealer tried to sneak a scratched up door and 1/4 panel by me. Had to return the 1st machine I bought and go to a different dealer.
Wanted a review like this when I was shopping around.
So far I am loving it. Set the ‪@GoPro‬ 12 up for some trail clearing and gave my in depth review of this machine after 10 or so hours doing a variety of stuff around the ranch. Will be using it to grade around houses, trail clearing, building fence, digging pools, little bit of everything.
If you guys want to follow along with everything we do around the ranch, horse racing, beef cattle, some desert racing, traveling, all while raising a 6 month old go ahead and subscribe should have some great content coming your way!
Let me know what you think with a like or a comment.
Thanks guys!

Might seem kinda of petty, but the overhead door design is enough of a selling point for me. I'm sure there is a lot of instances where how I'd use it is stupid but sometimes the calculated risk is necessary. When you're working yourself, sometimes you need to be the operator and the ground man. The algorithm is scary sometimes though. I was finally going to make my first walk into a dealer tomorrow morning (what else can you do when it rains 6.5 out of 7 days of the week) and look at a SVL75-3 because of the promotional financing. I'm done trying to save for one the way things have gone the last few years, sign on the line and get to work already. I don't deserve a new machine, but after watching for a good used unit there is no question financing a new unit is the way to go.

I 100% agree. For price of used machines and how beat up they are I think it’s worth it. Don’t even realize how many times I use overhead door, but it’s a lot. I say go for it!

I'm added to the wait list. Dealer told me I'm number 4 on the order list. Large dealer, so hopefully, not too long of a wait. I ordered all the same options you have.

Nice! I did some searching to find this. The dealer actually had 10 in stock but this was the only one with the reverse blow fan and high flow.

So many little improvements vs 73-2, quieter, lifts higher, backup camera, lift with full fuel, faster speed, better servicing. I think the reverse fan works by engine temp… if you dont work it hard enough it wont time on.
@douglasmccolm255
@douglasmccolm255 6 месяцев назад
The only down fall is I like the old tracks that were padded. If you are doing landscaping u wont like them so much. They are so aggressive ripping soil way more than the big pads on the other one.
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 6 месяцев назад
Yeah definitely big improvement over 75-2. You can set reverse Blow fan to go off at whatever interval you want I have an hour set. Just have to be running full throttle when it kicks on, which makes sense.

Nice I like the updates compared to My 75-2 . The info in that screen is huge. Looks like they fixed a lot of flaws with the -2 machines

Totally agree. Why I ended up going with the 75-3. Screen is really nice

I agree with you regarding the scratches, yes it’s a piece of equipment but for the amount of money you paid for it they should detail it like a new pickup.
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 7 месяцев назад
@@toddwilson1599my thinking exactly. Sales manager at the dealer literally said you are going to scratch it up anyway 🤬 that’s beside the point you delivering a brand new piece of equipment scratched up is absurd. Couldn’t believe how they handled it. All ended up good though 👍🏽

I'm looking to add a CTL to the farm this summer. Do you think it'd perform pretty well with cutting a roadway into a hill side? I'd also be handling 1500 pound square bales. Kinda worried that i might buy something a little under powered. I've been leaning towards the 333G for the extra power, but they're so crazy expensive. Great review also!
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 6 месяцев назад
I think you’d be fine with both. Maybe some counter weights for more stability. I’ll be cutting a driveway on a new build next month, not off camber though. I looked at 333g as well, thought this was better fit for now. Thanks!

Just got my svl-75-3 a few weeks ago in Minnesota . 14 hours on the clock so far, mostly used for a forklift. Reverse fan, high flow, wide tracks, block heater. Coming from a clapped out t190 bobcat with foot controls. I can thread needles with the 6ft forks on the old bobcat but haven't got that good on the Kubota yet. I bought this machine mainly because of the door system. $68k before taxes, what did you guys pay? Great video!
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 6 месяцев назад
Nice! Thanks a lot. Right around $69k. I’m with you on the door, makes getting in and out real easy.

What is your opinion on how steady the pilot control is when you are working in tight places that you don't want to bump into? I was a bit disappointed in my new 75-3 It is not as steady as the deere electric over hydraulic that I ran.
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 4 месяца назад
Definitely can be a bit jumpy with rpms all the way up. Why I like to use foot throttle a lot. Was doing a tight grading job yesterday where that was the case

Does it have a dpf? One reason why I’m looking at Bobcat is their tier 4 doesn’t use a dpf or def.
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 7 месяцев назад
Has dpf, not def. What model bobcat? Looked at a few
@jimwright8651
@jimwright8651 7 месяцев назад
@@MerrymanRanch looking at the new Bobcat T650. They did away with the dpf with their latest engine redesign. I don’t think it uses def either, but I will confirm that with the dealer.
@MerrymanRanch
@MerrymanRanch 7 месяцев назад
Good deal. Yeah I looked at a T66, definitely nice machine. Just like I said, small thing but wanted to be able to run with the door open. I believe major dpf service is at 2500 hours on these and I doubt I’ll still have it then, so knock on wood hopefully I don’t have to worry about that. Our new holland tractor has dpf and I’ve had a bunch of diesel trucks with dpf/def I’ve never really had an issue. Is another thing to brake and cause problems though.
