2024 Lexus LS500 Walkaround 

It’s not just that but this car, as amazing as it was once, just isn’t good enough relative to its competition today. The S class is in another dimension. They redesigned this car to be more sporty to address the critics but that runs counter to what this car is. Its tech is laughably dated and with the twin turbo setup its reliability is remains to be seen. Reliability is what drove people to Lexus as well as the plush ride. Reliability with this model is questionable and the plushness of this vehicle is pretty much gets outshined by any other vehicle in its class including the G90. It’s unfortunate for such a flagship to be in this position. This car doesn’t even have a spare tire. Its ridiculous. Why would anyone shell out close to six figures for this. People who have that much disposable cash would rather get the S class which by all accounts is vastly superior to this which truly is a shame as the LS once embarrassed the S class. Shame on Lexus’ management for dropping the ball on such a legendary nameplate.

@@herbertwong6007 No arguing that but most buyers in this class aren’t really concerned about reliability. They tend to change these cars faster than the warranty expiration date. Again, with the twin turbo engine they put in this thing, reliability is still yet to be proven. The competition is fierce and even brands like Genesis with the G90 are more luxurious, tech forward and enticing. The LS is of excellent build quality with a legendary name plate but Lexus has neglected it while chasing SUV sales numbers and that’s really unfortunate. I hope they don’t cancel it as the brand will always need a flagship sedan but who knows. I personally love the car but I also understand what it is competing against and in this day and age brand loyalty can only go so far.

@@Rightonrightoff It’s being cancelled FYI. While I do agree, their will always be loyalists to the brand. I could careless for the newest technology to be honest. As long as the safety technology is up to par, I’m happy. Genesis is doing a fantastic job with their vehicles however people aren’t fully convinced on their reliability either. The TT V6 has been in Lexus and Toyota vehicles for over 5 years now. I’m sure it’s very reliable considering they’ve dropped it into other vehicles such as the Tundra, Sequoia and GX. Their Hybrid power trains are the ones to look out for in my opinion. Highly reliable.
