I've had a Reserve II hybrid model for 3 weeks now. Went 426 miles on a tank. Mix city and highway. Just put in a new tank of gas. This vehicle is amazing. Smooth ride. Effortless acceleration. Very spacious. That screen is phenomenal and I actually love the steering wheel. Everything is just responsive.
@@1993rufus you must have an amazing Crystal Ball. A statement like that without any backup or reason shows a low IQ. I bought mine about the same time as @jayw-cl8pg. It is my 8th consecutive Lincoln. It is an awesome vehicle. Sorry dufus...oh, rufus. I already regret even reading your silly-assed response.
A RU-vidr I enjoy watching commenting on the comments section of a video of another RU-vidr I enjoy watching! I love this! The new Natalus is awesome though but I’d personally get a BMW X5 (my dad and I are actually test driving one tomorrow and I’m very excited)
For all the knuckleheads who are aimlessly commenting, we test drove a reserve 3 last week and the screen set up is not distracting and the oval steering wheel is actually quite comfortable. The perfect position seats (not shown in this video) are sublime. The vehicle exceeded our expectations for the exterior, interior and driving experience. I suggest people actually drive the Nautilus before making RU-vid judgments.
You can always count on the RU-vid idiots. I love it when they say unreliable and you ask them how. They can't come up with anything and get PO'd because you called them out.
@@Zanderthelaband the larger display is straight out of _Cadillac_ I’m not sure how people are able to give Lincoln credit for this interior design after everyone has seen the new Cadillac interiors featured in the Celestiq and Escalade _IQ._ This is just a cheaper version of those interiors.
But reliability is subjective. People swear up and down a dodge will break the moment you drive it off the lot but i have a 2005 magnum that was bought new. 289k miles later and it's been phenomenal.
@@dtay8913 to be fair, a lot of Lincoln's reliability issues come from experimental tech that's in most of their vehicles. Customers get confused and can't figure out how certain features work, so they bring it into the dealer thinking that it's broken. Sometimes the software really is buggy, though, but from what I've heard, the number of tech bugs in this model is either average or slightly above average compared to the industry and mostly relates to the Android Auto interface, which in itself is buggy as hell.
Love this comment I find moonroof almost completely useless, and they have absolutely nothing to do with luxury anymore. Every car has moonroof it’s not a luxury item.
Was looking forward to the review on this channel and as always you delivered! I'm pretty sure both of you know that this is my favorite vehicle for 2024 hands down! Glad you both like the Nautilus and that sensational interior. Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend 👊🤝
I could never figure out why everyone has electronic transmission gear selection but keep the mechanical gear shifter. I wondered why they didn't just use push buttons. Nice to see someone did. Very clean interior.
If not for the troubling reliability record Lincoln established in the last ~10 years, I'd say this is more appealing than the Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, and other models in its class. This is a great package with distinct design elements and competitive performance. Buuuuut...you will be on a first-name basis with Ford Service.
I have only owned Fords. And the worst vehicle I owned, reliability wise, was a 2003 Focus. I’ve never had any issues other than that. Normal and consistent maintenance.
Lincoln is a bit more elevated than Lexus, Acura, and INFINITI but still does compete in many aspects🤷♂️ I’d compare this to a Volvo, Cadillac, BMW, and others
Saw one two days ago and got in one at an auto show. It’s stunning. It doesn’t feel like a tech demo, it feels like a real high end luxury car, even without the Black Label material upgrades. Can’t say the same of any current Lexus, outside of the LC500.
Beautiful exterior. I'm blown away by the interior. The shape of the dash reminds me of a modern interpretation of traditional American luxury car dashboards of the past. The squircle steering wheel is so strange, but I'm intrigued. The design of this vehicle makes it look like Lexus isn't even trying.
Can you guys do a night drive review please? I am surprised no one has done that yet. Will like to see all lights at night. Headlights, ambient lighting etc
Awesome looking SUV! Great value at the Reserve 1 hybrid trim level! I sat in one today. I'm 6 foot and the roofline is too low; I have to duck getting in and out. Dead pedal is too small lengthwise for a mens size 11 US.
Omg I just got the black label and it will be here in a few weeks I’m so excited 😊I love it ! Park’s Lincoln of Tampa - Sebastian Gonzales helped me and he is a customer service oriented salesman who brought me the car to test drive and then drove me to the bank to get the check to pay for it! Fabulous experience ❤
Rear end looks liKe a GLE... Looks roomy, but wonder about quality and reliabilty of Lincoln.. tech is first rate, but will it be a buggy first year model?
thanks for the review but we always have to remember Lexus's strong sales point is not only looks good but drives amazing. it's also engineered reliable unlike Lincoln/Ford the reliability record isn't that great. so I hope Lincoln engineers use some of their conscience when they design their vehicles.
Looks much better than the Lexus RX, inside and out. Beautiful. But how will the Chinese build hold up against Lexus reliability which is a known quantity? And will customers respond well to Lincoln’s avant garde interior vs. Lexus’ more traditional dashboard?
I like the look. The shape is good, the wheels look good and the front looks great. Lost me at 310hp 4cylinder. For me to buy anything lincoln, it has to outclass the people who really know how to build vehicles(namely Lexus)
Built in China and no V6 TT version means no buy for me. I have the 2019 nautilus reserve with all options, built in Canada. The 2024 is a nice enough vehicle, but those two reasons I mentioned above are dealbreakers.
@@dpowell9069 BTW, what exactly am I ignorant about? Your feelings about this car? Sure, I agree to that. How about you stop being ignorant about people having their own opinion about it.
Yeah I can respect that opinion. I just think Americans in general don't care where things are manufactured. Apple's iPhone is the leader in America for close to two decades. Just a thought. 🎉cheers my friend.
It’s great looking and full of gimmicks, I prefer something reliable that will not leave me or my family stranded or spend more time in the dealership than in my position. I’ll keep my Rx and LX 😊😊😊
My first was an 07 MKX. I just bought a 23 Nautilus Black Label which is my 4th Lincoln. Only issue I ever had was on a 12 MKT with the sunroof getting stuck when trying to open it. I don't see where the reliability issue is.
That interior is fuckin Game-Changer!! Lincoln hit it out the park with this one, I can't see this not doing big numbers. Great Review also Tesla was NOT the 1st to do the digital vent controls, Porsche was.
I dumped my Aviator because of recalls and reliability. I considered the Nautilus but after joining owner forums I changed my mind. I feel like I would be right back with questionable reliability. Love your channel.
The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is a luxury SUV that offers a smooth and comfortable ride. It features a stylish design, spacious interior, and advanced technology. With its powerful engine options and available all-wheel drive, it provides a great balance of performance and comfort. The Nautilus also comes with various safety features to ensure a safe driving experience. It's definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a luxury SUV. 🚙😊
Bought the 2024 fsport design dark cloud grey back in December, car drives great and sexy , it not performance oriented, but more for comfort and luxury.. mpg is great too!!
It’s made in China, enough said! UAW must really be happy with this one. Never buy a first year model and since it’s made in China, not sure when you’d buy this.
Lots of things are made in China so what is enough said mean and unless you are a member of the UAW or some politician cow towing to them who really cares?
If it wasn’t built in china we wouldn’t get that interior (which is the norm there)….thats why the bigger models built here are still a year or two behind inside. But as a true American I’ll probably buy a Hyundai built in Alabama.
It definitely appears to be designed in China. The black color hides all the discordant styling elements. Reminds me of the upcoming Subaru Forester. Hard pass…
Your phone is made in China, your clothes are made in China, cars are made in China. What's your point? Global economy means items are made in different places.
Looks Awesome ! The ECVT - gives me pause.... Come On Lincoln.... a 10 speed AT was in order here! I would place this on my Mid-Short List of cars to look at in August when my 22 MDX lease comes due. One caution is about the extraordinary new interior - it's Gimicky , Novelties always wear off.
I checked one of these out at my dealer last November when they had it for training. I liked it a lot, but at the end of the day, I was put off by the powertrain options and bought a 23 Black Label instead. The 23 with the 2.7 V6 puts out 335HP and really makes it more fun to drive. The tech features were awesome, but I felt the powertrain was more important.
@@blewstang I'd buy it with the 3.0.Impressions I'm getting from reviewers is the 2.0 is OK but could use more. For that price, I expect it to be offered as an option.
BUT GM LITERALLY HELPED HONDA BUILD ITS NEW SUV. YALL ARE HATERS. BUSINESS AS USUAL. OUR IPHONES. CHINA. OUR SAMSUNGS. CHINA. OUR GOOGLE. CHINA!!!! Literally was excited about this review and oomg the comment section is so mundane.
The dash is really nice, and the tech is very impressive, but I don't like how the gauge cluster is so far from the driver. I'd like it closer, like on the RX 350 or the X5. I would also be concerned with potential malfunctions with all that tech. Still, Lincoln did a fabulous job with this update.
That style of wheel was used on the 60-63 Chrysler Imperial and some of the Chrysler 300's of that era. I've owned several of those over the years, so that wheel really caught my attention.
I wish you would measure the length and width of the front seats bottoms. The smaller autos tend to have shorter seat bottoms which lacks back of thighs.support taller people. Long trips this makes a big difference.
I wonder how the sound level reading dealt with the active noise control function. The reason I say this is that ANC or ANR works by adding opposing sound waves so that the ear doesn't hear noise in certain ranges. However, my guess is that it does not affect the absolute number of decibels generated. In which case, the car could be quieter than others with lower decibel ratings, to the human ear, but still have a larger number of decibels. Did it sound to you like it was louder than other mid-size luxury SUVs?
@12 seconds... Darn that back window couldn't even go all the way down could it haha. Uh-oh, I want to hear better from this massive two-row segment,, especially I'd like to hear that Lincoln actually caught up somewhere! so you guys let me know okay haha
It beats the Lexus for now but those screens and the brands reliability reputation will mean it will age terribly in three years. Good brand ruined by bad reputation now they are making a comeback but should be careful not to go too overboard and make it worse
@@Libertino Why do you assume that? And what about them "breaks" fast? I have not heard about any catastrophic defects with modern Lincoln models so just curious where you heard that?
Beautiful inside and out. Not a fan of the door handles or those wheels. Based on the China assembly and the poor reliability of the Lincoln I'd take the Lexus over the Nautilus. I have a feeling it will be the best-looking car being towed to the dealership.
My 2924 Pilot gas tire pressure monitor that is extremely sensitive ( a good thing in some ways) that results in tire pressure indicator illuminating with changes in weather. Comments ?
ALWAYS watch and enjoy your reviews. Not too gimmicky. I never see reviewers discuss elbow room. How close to a door panel do you sit before banging into it or is there room to spare. Also, if next to a passenger, as in your reviews, can you stretch out a bit, or not. I never know how wide these vehicles are. I have an RX, and you can really stretch out. Any thoughts??? Thank you.
Thank you! It depends a lot on how big you are. The two of us can fit comfortably across pretty much any kind of vehicle. The narrowest vehicles are sub-compacts
The content is on point as always, but some tough love. Viewing the the interior camera work is nauseating. Too much zooming in and out and around the cabin relative to the topics being covered. Please pause to let the viewer ingest what is being covered without the constant movement.
I dont even want to imagine how much that display costs to get fix if anything were to go wrong. I guess it would be broken up into different screens so you can replace them individually but these days every industry is trying to nickel and dime a customer.
Also it's literally Fords Design. You can see Platform design from the Escape. That interior is gorgeousssssss. America has collaborated and owned many foreign brands. You see the new Landrover/Bronco ? You see the new Aston Martin coupe/Mustang Design. Bro Didn't Ford own Mazda too? So many brands we loved were owned by Ford GM and Chrysler. Don't yall everrrr hate on American Cars
The Escape platform has a 106.7" wheelbase vs. 114. 2 for this. They are not the same. No other Ford model uses this version of the global C2 modular platform. The closest related relative is the China-only Zephyr, hence why Nautilus is made in China with its cousin instead of here. As for the complaints about building it in China, fun fact: Ford is a global corporation that has more factories outside the USA than it does within.
