The Making of Jimmy Brow: The Life of a Lobster Fisherman
The documentary is a biography of the life of Jimmy Brow, who has fished lobster in the Northumberland Strait for over 50 years. From tragedies and hardships to record breaking catches, at 73, there is no slowing down in the life of this fisherman. Jimmy and the Brow family have called Havre Boucher home for over 200 years, along with many other families who were part of the first settlers in the area.
Part of Jimmy’s story is the rich history and culture of Havre Boucher. From it’s friendly neighbours, to lobster boils and incredible sunsets over St. George’s Bay, to capturing the true essence of one of the first fishing settlements in Nova Scotia.
