John, you gonna try out the new Easton Alpha ASA/USA? Not the Ghost tech from what I'm seeing.... I want to know what you think before I take the dive into it..... Always awesome videos, appreciate the job you bring in the softball world.
Bought one the day they came out. It’s sitting in my office just waiting to get swung. Unfortunately, the plumber is coming on my normal bp day, so I’m trying to figure out a time to swing it.
Personal preference, I know Dave loves the 1-piece. The Spider-Man we swung was way too light for me so it’s hard to tell. My personal favorite is the 13” balance 2-piece “Ironman”
@@BatFlipBP Thanks. I went with the Spiderman 27 oz. I already have a miken freak u exclusive that's .5 end loaded. Just started playing again and its hard getting used to the end loaded bats... Can definitely feel the weight difference.
I didn't have a tester with me on the day, but Dave did use in a tourney the week before and it had the passing sticker. I'm not sure what the numbers were, but I have to assume it was right there at the limit the way it felt.
That is more of a true statement in baseball. The lob pitch in slow pitch kinda takes that out of consideration. There are lots of factors, but the cor/compression of the ball, the bpf rating of the bat and bat speed have a bit more to do with it in this situation. Any three of those individually can greatly affect the performance despite the other two. But when all three work together it's a match made in heaven.
