There's a few valid reasons people are going with a lot of grays. Generally gray cars tend to stay cooler as lighter colored cars reflect more light, and thus more heat, which also is more economical because you use less air conditioning. Also on grays scratches and chips don't show nearly as much as on a brightly colored car because the gray is closer to the primer used, and so the difference is less noticeable.
It looks good but it's a bummer that such a fun car doesn't come in hardly any fun colors. The soul red crystal is true to concept and the rest are kinda meh.
