Correct me if I'm wrong. If a car is in demand we are last to get it in South Africa. If it's not, like this one, it arrived sooner than expected! 😕😞

The ethos of the Mini was that it was the car for the masses. This is just a BMW in "mini" clothing and is a sorry example of Badge Engineering!

What I can attest to is the safety of this car, or the previous version of this anyway. My cousin and her son were t boned on the driver's side and both got out with just mere scratches. So the safety is up there.

Awesome review I would also be put off a bit due to it having that delay in speed pickup, but overall it's a lovely car, would opt for some other colors on the doors though.

If the price is considered to be too high, have a look at the price, quality and driving experience of the "competitors", and the cars in your price range, and you'll be surprised as to how much value is in this car. For those that complain about the looks, a Ford Ranger Raptor looks nothing like a Model-T, yet there isn't an issue. Small Minis are available for those that don't want "Maxis", but I've been sold since my test drive last week. The only wait is for the JCW.

Loved the video ❤The slight delay might be something wrong because it's the 1st time I hear of it even with the previous version. The reviews are good ( ignition videos and others) with a bmw engine. There must be an error somewhere, i guess.

Sorry to say but from the outside it doesn't look like a Mini anymore. Interior looks spot on! Very modern, simplistic yet futuristic with all the usual "Mini" cues. Way too expensive! That has been the general trend for previously "affordable" vehicles of the same model. This is why China will dominate South African new vehicle sales within the next 10 years I believe.
