Great job fellas! Watching you guys have a blast swinging the APS makes me proud and thankful to be a part of Monsta and what Carl constantly does to advance the game.
@@gavarkhai3139One would think being that Monsta is always late with the arrival/ship dates since forever, that they would add additional months time and site the "more realistic" date...but hey, what do they really care as people continue to purchase...
I'm watching everyone have so much fun swinging this bat! They need to hurry up and drop that new MX tech so I can join the fun! And as always, another great video. I'm pretty sure you lead all BP channels in laughs per minute!! It's fun to watch!!
I hope you love it when you get it! The music is just a generic file called Melodic Punk. I chopped it up a bit to fit my need, but it’s just a stock file. All other music I get off Epidemic Sound, I’ve got a thing for punk rock. 😂
This APC tech is really really good, the only thing is, it’s all or nothing. If you can live on the sweet spot this bat will reward you every time. But if you want that classic Monsta feel and forgiveness the standard 12.5” barrel stuff is the way to go.
The feedback is a lot different feeling. It could just be that this barrel is new and needs more hits to break in, but my torch feels softer. This has an explosive sweet spot, when you hit it YOU KNOW. This also swings faster through the zone even though it's an oz heavier.
I haven't swung the new Torch so I can't say what the differences will be. I'm not sure one is going to be better than the other, just different bats for different style of hitters.
@@smash6667 pretty sure the new Torch is the 12.5” barrel length. You would have to interrogate someone at Monsta about the difference of M5 and MX, I have ZERO clue.
Performance is very much on par, I just think you get an extra bit of reward if you barrel it up. Yes the sweetspot is smaller with the 11” barrel, but it’s always been my thought, the smaller the sweetspot the more rewarding it is if you actually catch it. Given that, the barrel is still surprisingly forgiving.
@@BatFlipBP Love my M5 Torch....just feel it compress so much it makes me nervous. I have the black sheep juiced candy edition 25.5, but I seem to hit bit further with that M5 torch...and it seems more forgiving. I absolutely have that Monsta Clack sound though....great review!! Ordered the SB2 thanks!
It's actually the grip off the new AXE bats. It's a little clunky feeling on the thicker axe handle, but on these thinner handles it's awesome. They were too nice to throw away, they are super grippy. I wish they sold them individually.
Scorch is a totally different feel, that will be my cold weather or hard ball game bat for sure, or the Proton, I switch bats up all the time. The KOD is also an incredible option, probably a more forgiving sweet spot but both bats are absolute beasts.
I would say that just comes down to personal preference. I'm a 2-piece guy, my buddy Aaron is a 1-piece guy. They both perform pretty much equally, just comes down to what you are more comfortable with.
It's just the grip I took off the new Axe bats, I like how tacky it is. It might look longer because we both use overlap grips and I was also dropping two fingers off the knob at the end.
@@johnsurabian2010 oh i've tried them all, my standard is the Head Extreme Soft Tennis grip. I took the axe grips off the axe because they felt a little clunky on the flare knob, but on these thinner handle bats I don't mind them. I just really liked how tacky there were and I didn't want to just throw them away.
Yeah, I'm always hopeful that one of these days inventory won't be an issue for Monsta. But I just try to keep in mind they are a small business compared to the big manufacturers, it's a tough business.
