I just love the way Mike Breem puts each NBA Finals montage together every year. You are definitely the best of what you do

Kinda miss when he would briefly discuss the losing team. It’s such an important part of the story to me. For example him covering Boston’s loss in 2022 adds so much.

Mike breen never fails keep the montages coming

“Every team could use a Holiday. This one now has 2 rings”. His acquisition changed the Celtics chances dramatically. He was amazing on defense the entire season but especially in the playoffs.

Remember after the Celtics lost to the Warriors in 2022 NBA Finals, Mike Breen once said *Banner number 18 will just have to wait* The Celtics have waited 2 years to get Banner 18

These are getting pathetically worse/more rushed every year. Breen didn’t even acknowledge the losing team (which Boston was in 2022, and they got a shout out during that year’s montage). The unexpected run through the west by the Mavericks deserved SOME kind of mention given it was Luka’s first finals. Not only that, the common themes of “beautiful team basketball” and “XYZ will never be forgotten” are just repetitive now and need to be stashed away. Most egregious was very little reference to the dominant Celtics teams of the past… and not showing Bird’s photo as another commenter wrote. Tatum and Brown now have their place in the annals of franchise history, but this didn’t make me feel it. And to top it off, there was no splash screen of the Celtics being 2024 NBA Champions, at the very very end, to put a bow on the coverage. Really disappointing.
