To mention Dylan in the same breath with Frasier or Crouch or Tagge is pretty lofty, but there's a good chance Dylan will earn his seat next to the greats.
@@nevermindme8922 My man I saw Tommie make some incredible throws in his career. The thing is he made them in the clutch when he had to. I remember a few in particular against Colorado and Florida State. The pass wasn’t the first option in the offense . Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz was asked who is the one recruit he always wished he had gotten . Lou said Touchdown Tommie .You got to admit, he ran the triple option beautifully. The thing is Tommy Frazier was a winner and a leader IMO Should have been the Heisman trophy winner in 1995 .GBR.
@@nevermindme8922 As far as Nebraska players are concerned or for that matter quarterbacks Tommy Fraser is the greatest of all time. The goat. A leader a winner a champion.
Always a good time with Jon! Thanks, hope all is well! Been tracking wildfires in Jasper and absolutely heartbroken, hope it hasn't affected where you're at too much.
Sounds like Carter Nelson is going to have a bigger role than you think. Rhule putting him at receiver & creating plays for him. Don't sleep on Rhamir Johnson, either. I think he's the best all-around back we have. What about Neyor & Banks? Are you even paying attention to the roster??? 😂
Next year is the year, but I do have high hopes for the raw potential that will show this season. I’ve said it plenty of times, but a winning season, with flashes of what we can be, and I’d be over the moon
What do you mean "next year is the year"? Like going to the playoffs? Maaaaybe. Next years schedule is pretty tough compared to this year, and we have no idea how this season will even play out yet. My heart says 9-3 my head says 7-5.
Like anything, you have to break it down into smaller elements. You make sure you have great recruiting and you develop your players. Then you make sure you give them great nutrition, excellent strength training, and mental toughness. Then you make sure you have developed your special teams and cut down your mental mistakes. Matt Rhule has been developing every one of these areas. Nebraska has every reason to be hopeful for the future.
The O Line is the key to this season. The pass rush needs to get after it . Only way Teams will try to move the ball against Nebraska will be by the pass. Our secondary needs to step up. Blythe Hill and Tommie Hill are solid in man coverage . Blythe Hill’s technique for a young player is the best of the DB’s
Dylan seems to be taking personal responsibility for upgrading the Offensive Line, evidenced by his “peer recruiting” of top linemen like David Sanders, Jr.
@@augiegirl1 I would take a personal responsibility myself. The coaching staff must prioritize offensive linemen in their recruiting to protect Dylan as he goes Nebraska goes .I don’t blame Dylan for peer recruiting. No quarterback wants to get hit. Dylan is the straw that stirs the drink. Protect him give him time to make his reads and he’ll make them pay.
@@jesusrivera743 In addition to that, Family Pride is probably just as much the explanation, if not more, since his dad was the last Husker to win the Remington Trophy.
@@briggsofdisaster No one has said "this is the year of the natty" in ages. You're making sh$t up. Look at this team. What do you see that is different from the last few years? If you can't see it, just go back to your whine cellar and be a negative loser. The rest of us have eyes.
Briggs, I think it is best for you to stop watching Nebraska related content. I've seen you cry like this for a while now and I'm starting to get concerned about your mental health.
It’s just one game . I remember 1982 early in the year Nebraska went into Nittany Valley to play Penn State. It was a classic game little did anyone know that was the national championship game for that year? That was the only blemish on Nebraska’s record Penn State went undefeated and was national champion. Go figure ….
Ceiling for Nebraska is 12-0. I’m assuming the 10-2 folks are marking Ohio State and USC as for sure losses. Ohio State I get why people assume that’s an L but with Howard at QB I don’t see them as unbeatable. At most a likely loss. Then USC is a team made entirely of eggs being counted as chickens. They were so bad last year that they went 7-5 despite having the #1 draft pick at QB. But we’re supposed to just assume that they’re going to be better without him going in to a way tougher conference? They need to dramatically improve on defense or they are gonna get bullied in this league. While i believe they have 12 winnable games scheduled they also have 8 losable games. Colorado (🤮🤮), @ a likely improved Purdue in DR’s first away game, homecoming against who I’m dubbing the East Coast Iowa Scarlet Knights, @ a super trappy new everything Indiana, @ Ohio State, @ who knows? USC, Senior night vs the beaygeers, and finally @The Micheal Jordan’s of punting to win The Iowa Cockeyes. So 4-8 is the floor. What I’m hoping for is 6+ wins 2 of them being Colorado and Iowa.
TV show up in 62 with good coaches intermediate turnaround Judy to the rules of the time Osborne took over same assistant coach continuity stayed on for the most part until the transfer to Frank and then even then with Frank with some good chunk of his good success and Tom's recruits he had success it's about players but the most important thing is the coaches and the assistant coaches and having a plan and and scheme and management style that works that is doable year after year they can be tweaked a little bit here and there but not totally changed to where we start over every every time that's on Nebraska got great and stayed great for so long no other school had that assistant coaches stay as long as they did like we did maybe buying but even he got picked coaches leaving and that didn't happen to Tom and Bob
It’s not easy to win a national championship, Just ask Texas , Notre Dame , Oregon , Michigan , Ohio state . Even with all the talent and money some elite programs have. You can go undefeated and not win the national championship or make the playoffs for that matter. College football has changed. NIL/ portal ?
