Ok, so I have an excuse having been a fan since the early 80's and I probably ate lead based paint chips. But how the living hell do they get new fans? Jesus Christ I hate woody!
Let this wash over you. They lost to a Pats team with no Brady, no Belichick, complete rebuild, rookie qb, who got hurt, and their back up was able to lead them on a game winning final drive throwing to bad wr.
@@dumbledan4016 lol Jerry jone is not a bad owner he aleast got the team 3 sb and make the cowboy the most profitable sport team. He is a bad gm thought
We should acknowledge that most of the fans wanted these moves when they happened. Perhaps we should take some accountability ourselves for financially incentivizing all of this garbage.
I didn’t. The moves reeked of desperation. No patience or forward planning with this team (owner) expecting instant gratification will usually bite you in the ass
The problem is that Manning winning in Denver, Brady in TB, and the NBA superteam era of the 2010s is just enough for egomaniacal owners to think they can do it too, forgetting the likes of the 2011 Eagles, etc.
Nah! I disagreed...every step of the way. No to Aaron Rodgers. No to firing to Saleh. No to Adams. No so many things. I have been a fan of the Jets since Broadway Joe! The New York Jets needs an exorcist. They have been cursed.
I admit- I am no Am football expert. But I have this weird idea that to spend all your TO’s in 1.quarter is not necessarily a great idea for a professional football team
I am almost 70 years old. My first AFL game was a Titans game.I watched the Jets super bowl victory on TV. I used to have season's tickets at Shea Stadium. I remember all of the dashed hopes, unmet expectations, yearly ludicrously delusional hype. I CAN'T STAND THIS ANY MORE. I'M DONE. IT'S OVER FOR ME. I will never believe the press reports of the next "great" Jets team that looks "really special" in the pre-season. I respect and love all of you who are hanging in there. After the game, I saw the end of the Commanders' game, with Jaden Daniels throwing a game winning Hail Mary. In his interview, he was calm and humble. He is a winner. So was Curtis Martin, but we couldn't make that work. I could never route for the Bills or the Patriots or the Dolphins or the Giants, or the Cowboys. I will try to become a Crusaders fan.
Going forward. What players in next year's Draft would even want to come here? I wouldn't. I would probably go to Canada to play rather than come to a horrible organizations like the Jets. Just saying.
It gets overlooked but the 92 Mets were 48-48 and 4 games back of first before they completely fell off the wagon. This Jets Team is worse than that relative to comparing leagues.
As a Pats fan, I was really surprised we managed to when that. I counted 5 or 6 key drops in that game, 9 times out 10 if your receivers drop that many key passes in a game, you lose. But the Jets just felt dead on that field. How do you let Jacoby Brissett diced your defense up?
You hit the nail on the head about JFM.. When JD signed him to a new contract and set the precedent, he was on the path. Then, he diverted from the path - I believe bc of Woody, and traded him away for Reddick. I still do not understand WHY they felt like they needed too trade him.
IDK? Its still early. But as a Buckeyes football fan. This 2024 “20 million dollar roster” under HC Day could be telling the J-E-T-S to hold their 🍺. 😂😢😅
What's scary is that the Jets do have talent. Based on their talent, the Jets should have dominated the previously 1-6 Pats (who were using their backup QB). I know the Pats were motivated too, but come on. And here's the scariest part: the Jets had energy and were trying their best to win! That a team with so much talent could lose to the Pats (who, let's face it, are not the Pats of old) despite giving their best effort speaks volumes on how bad the Jets are this year.
Teams that go for star power often fail. When the new regime takes over they will decide who to part with and who to hang onto. Who knows, maybe the next GM will make good picks later in the draft. The next regime should make those decisions.
Rodgers took charge of this team because Woody let him. Hackett, Mike Williams, Lazard, Adams were all his doing. I would say only Lazard has produced. This is a "roster" and not a team. Reminds me of the old New York Rangers... always buying players in free agency and never meshing during the season.
