I've never said that Tua was a system quarterback, per se. The issue with Tua is that he will never be able to take advantage of the weapons he has as much as a guy with a stronger arm could. That and the fact that he's always injured.

The NFC South is alright if the teams could stop stepping on their own dicks. The only outright BAD team in that division is the Panthers. Bucs are pretty good, Saints could be good if they'd stop collapsing and the Falcons aren't bad talent wise but something is still in the way of the team gaining sustained success.
NFC South hasn't been the worst division since the season started. Three playoff contenders and even the Panthers aren't the most embarrassing team in the league anymore.

I definitely agree with Barry that Drake Maye needs to just fucking start, however waiting behind certain QB’s has its moments. People will always bring up Pat and Alex Smith, but that’s just a really good example because Alex Smith was an actually good QB that was kind of in the prime of his career!! He was immensely strong fundamentals wise, and Pat sitting behind him certainly helped him refine his own fundamentals at the same time. Where the Patriots are dead fucking wrong in this equation is that they have one of the worst active starting QB’s in the game that doesn’t have a ton to teach!! When you draft someone that high, as Barry has said numerous times, you’re supposed to be a difference maker!! When you’re drafted that high as a QB it means you’re supposed to step in and be better than (most of) the competition; otherwise that team would’ve just signed a QB in the offseason!! If the Patriots had an even semi-competent QB at the helm this might not be the worst thing, but I don’t think Maye should be learning how to succeed from a QB who’s almost never found his own success in the league!!
