I like the pick. This kid seems to have focus, is strong, plays a really fast game, and can pass very well. There's a reason he rose a lot leading up to the draft.

“Stay in the present” “Work as hard as I can every second of every shift” The kid is 17?! Watch out….this is gonna be the pick everyone in Philly laughed at, that turns out to be a star.

Briere ended up getting more draft picks for a much more loaded draft class next year and took a young kid whose 17 that hasn’t even hit his ceiling. Briere had a very good first night.

The wife asked, how old is he?" My response: "Based on his demeanor, umm 40?!?" Hockey IQ, speed (better be fast with a name like Jett) consistency. Talks as calmly as a cup winning captain. (most sportsman like player award on his resume). I see why the Flyers had zero issue taking him earlier than most teams expected, and also how many other teams cringed when his name was called. Love it!

Cutter Gauthier continues to screw us. He was our 1C of the future and him leaving caused us to panic and overdraft centers this year and leave better players in the board

Kid will be a great player. Lots of the media and the fanbase need to stop looking at the “big names” and learn hockey. He’s a center and should be a great transition to an NHL center. Good pick at 13. Fills a huge need.

I dont know enough about him but I really wanted Helenius. I hope he can play with Michkov.
