Every year in the big 12 the media would hype Texas up like they are going to make the playoff and they would go 8-4, just to get hyped up the next year
TBH I don't think any of these rankings matter anymore, with the 12 team playoff. If we are good enough to win it all, then we will be in the playoff, and if we aren't in the playoff, we weren't good enough to win it all.
@@buddyryeSEit’s a quote from the game. Miami was going to share the title with FSU or at least was trying to sense they had beaten FSU earlier in the year. The OU player at the end was literally telling Miami to go home. Also the game was played in Miami.
I think we OU boys got respect for the SEC but have confidence OU is still a big time program. Especially with Venables knowing all about how to beat SEC teams in big games. I think we’re gonna be polite until we win lol
Oklahoma will be 11-1 they will be in the SEC championship game and they will play for a national title. You most definitely do not speak for me sir. I think that the progression of the team can only go to 11 and 1. I believe our loss Will come in one of two places. Either Tennessee at home here or at death valley. All others we'll go down to the Sooners. Are schedule is not a detriment to our season it is a blessing to be able to prove oneself. Go ahead and screenshot this comment print it out if need be but just hold on to it.
Calm down bro and don't be such a homer, you're setting yourself up for miserable existence this year. They will be fine and exceed preseason expectations, but no 11-1. Injuries and anything can happen through the season.
@@Goatroppin who are you calling a homer? Only a homer says OU who isn’t even in the top 15 will go 11-1 especially with a tough schedule. They have no idea what they’re about to run up against in the SEC. Tell me someone who’s not from Oklahoma that has any football credibility at all claiming they will go 11-1? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't think he's far off because I don't see us losing at home or against auburn or mu. We usually beat tex. Lsu way down at qb with bad D. Ole miss will try to be the first team to buy a nil team. We'll have the best D on the field because of the best D coach in each game, and best skilled experience depth. We'll lose somewhere once or twice but you don't have to drink the annual tex kool-aid or sec kool-aid now. @Goatroppin
You're wrong Tyler....I'm predicting The Oklahoma Sooners to go 11-1 this year with a lone loss to either Ole Miss on the road or AlaBuma at home! The SEC is gonna RESPECT Oklahoma after this season and TexAss will go 8-4 with that Training Wheel Schedule!!!
I would insufferable is a good adjective to describe how Oklahoma Fans will be if Oklahoma wins 8 or 10 games and makes the playoff. We have had to eat a ton of SEC disrespect on our way into the league.
The SEC is not a league you want to replace 9 offensive lineman! That can and will be a very tall task for OU! OU's defense will have to keep them in Games. Texas definitely has an easier schedule than OU. Welcome to the SEC! I can't freaking wait for College football to start!!
Ohhhhh....hold on there slick. You want to discuss the in season rule change that screwed OU out of the title game? Please do! OU can't expect to do well in the SEC but your pet Texas can come in with a cream puff schedule and you're all in there ass for it! Yeah right!
I would be pretty happy with 8-4. I expect 7-5. My biggest concern with OU is the coaching. Love BV but our in-game decisions, clock management, and play calling has been highly questionable. Hopefully BV and the coordinators improve
@LegolasFan69 I don't expect too much to change as far as scheme and play calling, but I do expect significant improvement in tempo and clock management which is primarily what killed us last year. Seth Littrel ran some pretty physical teams as a head coach and I expect he will try to impose physicality over speed
@@druidcraft918 I hope you’re right. Not a fan of running everything out of the spread and lots of RPO, esp with a young QB. OU needs to be able to slow down, huddle, and hand off from under center. I don’t see Littrell doing that but I hope I’m wrong
choose the one that most ou fans actually know and would choose to put on this show. i’ve never seen this dudes face and i’ve been watching and into oklahoma football news for 5+ years and not seen his face nor heard of his name once.
Guys calm down. I have nothing against Oklahoma, why should I ? But to expect to come in the SEC and win 9-10 games with that schedule is near insane. Oklahoma was ranked 79th on defense in 2023 thats the 4th worst in all SEC. Only Vandy, LSU and South Carolina had a worst defense. You have a new QB a new OC and you will see stadiums you never saw before. SEC people are different. Auburn can be 2-9 but if Bama shows up they will be there. And that is everywhere in the SEC outside of Vandy. I give you another examples what SEC means. Georgia was a constant 8-10 win team in the mid 10th and they thought they can walk over Vanderbilt. Guess what, they showed not 100% effort and lost at home. If you dont show up 100% and play no defense you will not win many games. Venables is a good HC and he will get there but this will take time. And to the playoffs. No SEC Team with 9-3 will make it. Come in, play your first season, see what you have or what you dont have in Arnold and go from there. I have Oklahoma 8-4 what would be a great season 1 in the SEC. Wish you Luck guys and welcome to the Sharktank.
79th is only part of the story, yeah they gave up yards but not points, had 20 INTs as well, I believe top 25 in TFLs, teams played a lot of max-protection against us, the ones that didn’t paid for it like Texas when we got 5 sacks
@@boomtime4343 ok. let me ask you something ... What Chance would the Tennessee Vols have if they would play in the BIG 12 ? They would be instant title contenders for the conference, right ? The Vols are ranked 7th or 8th in the SEC. Look at your schedule. TN is ranked behind LSU, Mizzou, Bama, Ole Miss, Texas. As i said before playing in the planes can be hard what not means you cant beat Auburn. Its the gind week in and week out what makes the SEC so difficult. You never can go away with a 90% effort.
@@svenkreuzberg2274 ok, put Tennessee in there as a normal B12 team though recruiting through it for years never being in the SEC do you think they would’ve recruited as well as OU? And then remember OU for the last 20yrs dominated the B12 so all the other teams in the conference knew that so they played their best ball against OU ever time so there was definitely a grind for OU week in and week out
@@boomtime4343 What i wanna tell you is there is no easy game for OU in the SEC. These teams will show up. Miss. State plays back to back @Texas and @UGA 2 lower schools and after that @TN and @Ole Miss mixed with a homegame against Mizzou. Its a real grind. I can see OU winning the SEC in 3-4 years but this will take time. Same with Texas. There is no way the Longhorns can walk into the SEC and dominate. They will learn quick and in a hurry that they are by no way are the top dogs.
@@svenkreuzberg2274 and there was no easy game in the B12 for OU is what I’m telling you because every team knew OU was the team to beat to be in the CCG so they played their hearts out every time against OU
What the hell did I just watch? You think the 0U receiver core might be the best in the SEC? Holy hell. Missouri has unquestionably the best receiver core with Butler being the best receiver in the nation the best player in the nation and Weese, which was a five star prospect that is as good as anyone else in college ball and their third receiver is better than most have for the number one. OU isn’t even going to break the top 10 at any time this season.
@@LegolasFan69 he’s literally a five star prospect that if we didn’t have the best wide receiver in the league as number one, he could be number one anywhere.
@@buddyryeSE Bwahahhaha he was injured. He entered the portal. You don’t cut players in college football. My Lord, you don’t even know how the game works. Just stop talking on the Internet and watch some football so you can learn something. You’ll see when OU comes to Missouri and gets their asses handed to them. And no one cuts a five star prospect. Have you even seen him play? He’s incredible.
