and the continuous replay of shallon olsen’s horrid cheng vault for every clip of her 😭 that was her worst cheng ever and it’s in every video of her on this account
@UziZokal The difference in possible scores between the US and the next possible contenders would require more than a 'few falls' by the US for any other team to win the Team Gold. Think about it, the US despite losing ALL of the possible scores from Simone and falling along the way STILL won silver in Tokyo. That US team in Tokyo had only one Amanar and one 6+ floor, both of them Simone's. This time around the US has TWO CHENGS and THREE 6+ floors as well as THREE 6+ bars and beam. No other team comes close. The 'anything can happen' phrase has become quite popular since Tokyo, and, it would require 'something' to happen, as well as more than a few falls for any other team to have a CHANCE of winning, since it would mean as well that they themselves would need to be PERFECT while the US falters, and that ain't happening.
I believe USA will win Gold, even if there are a few mistakes. They look good! I hope Brazil wins silver & I would absolutely love to see France win bronze in France. That would be marvelous! I pray no gymnasts gets injuired & that they all enjoy the Olympics. I will definitely enjoy watching.
Just a little correction: Oliveira is the last name of the athlete and Lorrane is the first name, as, in Brazil, the names order is personal name first and family name last. Also, in the end of the brazilian team part, the gymnast name doesn't change after Rebeca Andrade, but the last gymnast is named Júlia Soares.
I believe the 4 top contenders for team medals are USA, Italy, Brazil, and China. Looking at all scores I was able to gather from gymternet (mostly 2024 scores and some from the second half of 2023 if the gymnast had no scores in 2024 or only had 1 score), if we go with the highest score for each gymnast, the standings are 1) USA (by over 5.5pts), 2) Italy (by over 1pt), and 3) Brazil (by over 0.7pts), and 4) China If looking at average of ALL scores: the order is still the same but the spread between 2nd and 4th is 0.283 If you drop the lowest score for each gymnast in the average score, team USA still wins by a wide margin but Brazil comes 2nd over Italy (a little over 0.5pts) and China finishes 4th (behind Italy by a hair over 0.1pts). What this shows is if everyone does what they are capable of, USA win easily (even without their A team that would have included Jones and Blakely in place of Chiles and Hezley most likely) and Brazil, China, and Italy are in a close battle for silver and bronze.
I think if all goes well, it'll be USA Brazil Italy Having said that, I think Silver and bronze are up for grabs for GB and France. Gonna be a fun final
TOO BAD! This is GYMNASTICS. The Artistic part only defines what TYPE of gymnastics it is but by and large it is GYMnastics so the main elements will and SHOULD BE Acro. But what makes your comments really asSinine though is that you people seem to forget that there are FOUR apparatuses on which the gymnasts perform. Leave up to you people, the women would be asked to shake their fannies before and after vault and bars. IDIOTS
Although so many people say that China is so weak on vault, but I would say there is no team strong on all events except for United States. Many teams‘ bars and beams are really “weak” compared with China’s. Hope they can hit all their routines and come back to the podium❤
@Nixmathis I don't see China threatening the U.S. gold medal unless US make too many mistakes. But I believe that if China perform well enough, silver will be fine for them, and I also agree that Italy have the best chance to win bronze.
Italy is pretty strong across all four events. 3 dty's on vault, 3 good bars, 3 good beams and 3 good floor routines. Italy's main problem is their ability to hit under pressure but their D scores are strong across all 4 events. GBR is looking better than I thought they would be a few weeks ago. Especially if both Ruby and Alice have their amanars for team finals. China is outstanding on bars and beam but they really should have brought one more vaulter. I would have replaced Lou Huan with Du Siyu, personally. China will really need to rely on UB and BB to make up for VT and FX, and when so much of their D score on beam is about connections, that is a big gamble. Brazil looks weaker than they did last year and I think they are competing for 5th place (at best). Japan could surprise too. Obviously the USA wins by 3,000 points. Even if they have a fall or two. They are that much ahead of everyone else. My prediction is: gold - USA, silver and bronze will be a tight race between Italy and China.
@@davidjacobmarts535 I agree with most of your opinions, Italy and China will be the 2nd and 3rd, which one will be the 2nd depends on their performance. Siyu is definitely their best choice theoretically with a 6.5+bar and a dty, but she almost fell her bars in all the trials and she only successfully done her routine for one or two times in the past year publicly. For China now keeping consistency is the most important thing since they haven’t stand on the podium for 6 years, each time they have the potential for winning a medal but failed to do so because of their poor consistency. Luo huan’s performance on bars is stable and great for all the time, and she also owns a 6+ beam, a 5.4 floor and a high quality vault so it’s reasonable to choose her. And I think Japan and GBR will be very hard to get close to the podium, Brazil and France are not the best team to win top3 but still have chance.
Also Brazil has Rebecca Andrade who was the only gymnast who could “hang” with Simone. At Worlds last OCTOBER. She won 1 gold 3 silvers and 1 bronze! Brazil was second in the team event and China didn’t even make the podium!!!
Sorry but absolutely not. Look at 2023 World Championships! You have the last two Olympic champions on Floor competing in Simone Biles and Jade Carey from US and you have the current World Silver medalist on Floor with Brazils Rebecca Andrade. In the AA you have the Reigning Olympic Champion and Previous Olympic Champion competing in US’s Simone Biles 2016 and Suni Lee 2020. In Vault you have the Reigning Olympic/ World Champion in Brazil’s Andrade Previous Olympic champion and current World silver medalist The US’s Simone Biles and a South Korean gymnast who is the current Olympic/ World Bronze medalist. So with respect, I am sorry but NO WAY!
So Yeo So Jung is competing for two countries? 🤔............ well this video is shady for that Suni clip and also dropping inaccurate occurrences lmfao
I don't think the Chinese could afford even one fall especially on bars or beam. Their vaulting and floor is generally the weakest of their routines so any falling on their STRONG ones will make things very difficult for them.
You think that someone else besides Suni should have been selected for USA? So Who? Or are you saying that YOU assume that USA is weaker and will Only do well because we have Biles? And Before you say anything: The Twisties is a Real Condition of Gymnastics and its Dangerous to compete with. Simone Did NOT Quit. She protected herself. The USA has a very good group this year. The other countries are good but have a lot lower start value for overall rotations. Not that it's bad but unless almost everyone on USA crumble (not likely).... the rest of the World has a good chance to Win Gold. You really said Screw suni huh? Lol. At least she earned her spot. Of all the amazing things you could have picked out... you picked that? Good thing you're opinions DON'T matter on who Wins sports 😅. You can barely do a forward roll correct probably 😅. #GoSuni. #GoUSA.
Yes, I just don't get why they persists in selecting these very IMBALANCED teams year after year. They cannot be serious about winning a team medal I could only conclude. I mean it makes no sense. They keep putting together teams that have high POTENTIAL bars and beam scores but very low on vault and floor not accepting the fact that bars and beam are the two apparatuses where MOST FALLS occur. So, if you are already at a disadvantage when going to bars and or beam, then the potential for things to go even more side ways is greater. It is such a flawed composition and the fact that the Chinese have only made the team podium once in 4 major competitions since 2018 should have made that clear.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 they had an amazing team on 2019 with 3 decent vaulters. Their vault when downhill after. I think it was He Kexin who called out the Chinese Federation for their 7th place finish in Tokyo. They even called Russian Gymnasts to help their girls on Vault but I don’t see any improvements. The Chinese has have to be near perfect during both night of team competitions in order to win a medal.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 hopefully they can pull through because this Paris Olympics is the most boring in the making, the only exciting event would he bars.
@@davidjacobmarts535 Du Diyou might still go to Paris as an alternate just in case one of the gymnasts can't perform somehow when they get to Paris. So she'll probably be "on the bench" so to speak. 🤔
Don't be mad because your government decided to declare war on another country and now yours can't compete. So tired of people falling back on the "grace" and "elegance" excuse supposedly "lacking" in some athletes when you can't beat them. Also, if Russia's success is dependent on "grace" and "elegance," then why can't others be allowed to execute more difficulty? Isn't that what the judges are asking for? Perhaps your gymnasts need to step up their game in the difficulty. This is a SPORT, not a dance contest. Suck it up, buttercup, stop being bitter, and deal with it.
@@jacobmiller2663 The US is the only team that could put up 14+ scores across all four apparatuses. Not even the best of Russia back in Tokyo or now could match that.
Russia would not make team finals this year. They have been a mess for about two years. Melnikova is carrying the team on her back and she is still inconsistent, at best. Listunova is constantly injured, struggling post puberty and not as good as she once was. The rest of the team would be untested new seniors who haven't looked that impressive in russian nationals or at BRICS. I know it is a moot point because they're not going to be in Paris but even if they were, I'd be surprised if they made team finals. Also, ain't nothing stopping USA from winning a ton of medals in Paris. I see at least 9 medals for team USA (in women's gymnastics).
